Moon-lit Field

I hear the dogs howl about the blood they share
one dog scared
un-suspecting of their will
they're ready to kill
no where to run and hide from this moon-lit field
jaws ache from bloodlust, arteries bust
the last thought from that one dog is "Why did I trust?"

Sacrifice number two went with this pack, nothing to lose
horror in his eyes as the moon shines on their teeth, they seem blue
closing in on the one they betrayed
evil confidence gleams in their eyes
and then they glaze

Surprise as a dark form whistles
they hear it by the thistles
they smell hate and vengeance
he pops three into death, twin pistols
now only the leader is left
the victim runs away
a man steps out in the open
but he is not afraid
He puts down his weapons and pulls out a katana
charges his enemy
the leader jumps, then falls
his brain sliced open
left in the moon-lit field
his heart is rotted
