Default Vintage Music - Turkish Version

I don't know if someone started something similar for other languages, but after making a short search I couldn't find any similar thread, so here we go. I am planning to share songs from old times, especially from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Those records which are hard to find especially for non-Turkish speakers. You are welcome to share and translate here those old songs that you like.

Today's song is the Turkish version of Milva's song Guarda Che Luna, sung by Ayten Alpman from 1967. Hope you enjoy it.

Beni unutma, ne olur bırakma. Don't forget me, please don't leave me
Sen başkasının kalbinde yaşasan da Even if you live in somebody else's heart
Beni unutma sen duymasan da Don't forget me, even if you don't hear me
Sen bakmasan da Even if you don't look at me
Hasretin yeter bana Your longing is enough for me

Beni unutma, yıllar ardında Don't forget me, after years
Senin aşkınla avunurum hatıranla I console myself with your love, with your memories
Bir gün karşıma çıksan da Even if you come across me one day
Kimseden kıskanmasan da Even if you don't feel jealous of me
İnanmam buna I won't believe it
Unuttuğuna That you have forgotten me
Hiç yara almadan aynadan geçemezsin... (I can provide translations in English, German, Spanish upon request, just add my name in your post and the language you want)

I chose a classical music song for today, sung by the most revered and famous Turkish classical music performer. The song is from the year 1972.

    The speech in the beginning:

Seni andım bu gece I remembered/mentioned you tonight
Kulakların çınlasın May you feel your ears burning

Bu şarkıyı efendim, bu gece birbirini anan bütün sevgililere ithaf ediyorum izninizle. With your permission I would like to dedicate this song to all the lovers who remember/mention each other tonight.

    Song:

Seni andım bu gece I remembered/mentioned you tonight
Kulakların çınlasın May you feel your ears burning
Şimdi dargınız seninle We are cross with each other now
İnan sen herkesten başkasın Believe me you are unique (more different than everyone)

Belki bana çok uzaktasın Maybe you are far away from me
Belki de çok yakınsın Maybe you are really near

Şimdi dargınız seninle We are cross with each other now
İnan sen herkesten başkasın Believe me you are unique (more different than everyone)

Seni benim kadar Nobody will love you
Hiç kimse sevmeyecek As much as I do
Seni benden beni senden Nobody will know about us
Başka hiç kimse bilmeyecek Except us two

Öyle bir bilmece ki bu aşk This love is a big riddle
Hiç kimseler çözmeyecek No one will be able to solve it

Seni benden beni senden Nobody will know about us
Başka hiç kimse bilmeyecek Except us two
Hiç yara almadan aynadan geçemezsin... (I can provide translations in English, German, Spanish upon request, just add my name in your post and the language you want)

Today I am bringing you the sister of Ajda Pekkan, with a lovely song from 1969.

Her güzele koşma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to run after every beautiful girl?
Her tatlı söze kanma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to be fooled by every sweet word
Aldatır seni inanma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to believe, that he/she would betray you?

Olmaz olmaz bu iş olamaz Impossible, impossible, there is no way
Hiç yalvarma bu iş olamaz Don't beg me in vain, there is no way

Bu kadar çapkın olma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to be so flirtatious?
Göğsünü böyle açma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to show your chest like that?
Gözler manalı süzme demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to look with suggestive eyes

Çalım satma bu iş olamaz Don't give yourself airs, there is no way
Hiç yalvarma bu iş olamaz Don't beg me in vain, there is no way

Eloğlu bakmaz gözün yaşına The strangers have no pity on you
Ne işler açar sonunda başına You cannot imagine what troubles they can bring on you
Kimseler koşmaz imdadına Then nobody will come to your aid
Pişman olur dönersin bana You will regret and come back to me

Bu kadar çapkın olma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to be so flirtatious?
Her güzele koşma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to run after every beautiful girl?
Aldatır seni kanma demedim mi? Didn't I tell you not to be fooled, that he/she would betray you?

Olmaz olmaz bu iş olamaz Impossible, impossible, there is no way
Hiç yalvarma bu iş olamaz Don't beg me in vain, there is no way

A song of the group 3-Hürel from the year 1974.

Bir Sevmek Bin Defa Ölmek Demekmiş I Learnt That to Love Once is to Die Thousand Times

Aşkın şarabından bilmeden içtim I drank the wine of love without knowing
Sevda yolundan bilmeden geçtim I passed through the road of love without knowing
Aşkın bir alevmiş yar yar I didn't know that your love was a fire, my darling, my darling
Bir ateş parçası A taste of flame
Bilmeden gönlümü ateşe verdim I set my heart on fire without knowing

Bir sevmek bin defa ölmek demekmiş I learnt that to love once is to die thousand times
Bin defa ölüp de hiç ölmemekmiş To die thousand times but not to be able to die once
Bin defa ölüp de ölememekmiş To die thousand times but not to be able to die

Şarabı zehirmiş içtikçe öldüm Its wine was poisonous, the more I drank, the more I suffered
Yolu hep uçurum düştükçe öldüm Its road was a rift, the deeper I fell, the more I suffered
Aşkın bir alevmiş yar yar I didn't know that your love was a fire, my darling, my darling
Bir ateş parçası A taste of flame
Ateşe gönlümü yaktıkça öldüm The more the fire burnt my heart, the more I suffered

Aşkın Kederi from 1976, sung by Işıl German.

Işıl German - Aşkın Kederi The Sorrow of Love

Sakladım gözlerimi I hid my eyes
O gece ben senden From you that night
Veda ederken When we were saying farewell
Anladım ki dönüş yok I knew there was no turning back
Uzaklaşıp giderken When you were walking away
Kurtar allahım beni Save me, my God
Bu aşkın kederinden From the sorrow of this love
Gözlerimde yaşlarla With tears in my eyes
Dolaştım sokaklarda I wandered through streets
    Yalnız başıma All alone
Geriye ne kaldı ki What remained now
Şimdi eski günlerden From the old days
Kurtar allahım beni Save me, my God
Bu aşkın kederinden From the sorrow of this love
Belki de yıllar sonra Maybe after years
Yine senle olmak var I will be with you again
Eskisi gibi Like in the old days
İsterim ki yerimi almasın başka biri I want that nobody takes my place
Kurtar allahım beni Save me, my God
Bu aşkın kederinden From the sorrow of this love
Hiç yara almadan aynadan geçemezsin... (I can provide translations in English, German, Spanish upon request, just add my name in your post and the language you want)

A great thread indeed ,no one has ever done this before ,brilliant Idea !!

a song from me ,I really love it

ilsen neler dönüyor şu garip dünyada
i wish you know what's happeneing in this strange world
    Arkadaşlık düşmanlıkla yanyana
friendship and hostality are side to side
Bazen sebep bir aşksa çoğu zaman da para
if sometimes the reason is love, then most of the time it's money
    Değiştirir insanları hep bir anda
they change the human beings in a moment

Hiç bunları kendine dert etmeye değer mi
is it ever worth of worrying about these?
    Şu kısacık ömürler yeter mi
    is this short lifetime enough?

    Hoşgör sen affet gitsin aldırma
show tolerance, forgive ,let it go and don't care
    Büyüklük sende kalsın sonunda
let supermacy stay in you in the end* (free translation)
    Sen sarıl o sana sarılmazsa
if he doesn't hug you then hug him
    Sen unut unutmazsa
if he doesn't forget then you forget

    Hangimiz uğramadık sanki haksızlıklara
if which of us hasn't been hard done by ...
    Dinle beni sakın uyma şeytana
listen to me, don't you ever let the devil have the best tunes
    Pişman oluyor herkes sonra yaptıklarına
everybody regrets then for what they have done
    Esir olma boş yere gururuna
don't you ever be captured by your pride
    life is Super good
    (this is bull ****)

Another day, another song. Cem Karaca sings in 1975 Tamirci Çırağı, a great song with a wonderful but sad story.

Tamirci Çırağı The Apprentice of Mechanic

Gönlüme bir ateş düştü yanar ha yanar yanar A piece of fire fell to my heart, it burns and keeps burning
Ümit gönlümün ekmeği umar ha umar umar The hope is the bread of my heart, it hopes and keeps hoping
Elleri ak yumuk yumuk ojeli tırnakları She has reddish, chubby hands and polished nails
Nerelere gizlesin şu avucun nasırları He in turn doesn't know where to hide his calloused hands

Otomobili tamire geldi dün bizim tamirhaneye She came to our garage yesterday to have her car repaired
Görür görmez vurularak başladım ben sevmeye As soon as I saw her, I was taken with her and started to love
Ayağında uzun etek, dalga dalga saçları She was wearing a long skirt and had wavy hair
Ustam seslendi uzaktan oğlum al takımları My boss called out to me from far away: "Son, fetch me the tools"

Bir romanda okumuştum buna benzer bir seyi I had read something similar in one of the novels
Cildi parlak kağıt kaplı pahalı bır kitaptı It was an expensive book with a hard, glossy cover
Ne olmuş nasıl olmuşsa aşık olmuştu genç kız Somehow a young girl fell in love
Yine böyle bir durumda tamirci çırağına With an apprentice of a mechanic in a similar situation

Ustama dedim ki bugün giymeyim tulumları I begged my boss: "Allow me that I don't wear the work-clothes today"
Arkası puslu aynamda taradım saçlarımı I combed my hair looking at my mirror of which rear is hazy
Gelecekti bugün geri arabayı almaya She was going to come to take back her car today
O romandaki hayali belki gerçek yapmaya And probably to make the dream in that novel true

Durdu zaman durdu dünya girdi içeri kapıdan The time stopped, the world stopped, she entered through the door
Öylece bakakaldım gözümü ayırmadan I looked at her without taking my eyes off
Arabanın kapısını açtım açtım girsin içeri I opened the door of the car, I opened it so that she would get on
Kalktı hilal kaşları sordu kim bu serseri She lifted her eyebrows which looked like crescents and asked: "Who is this layabout?"

Çekti gitti arabayla egsozuna boğuldum She drove away with her car, I stayed there in her car's exhaust smoke
Gözümde tomurcuk yaşlar ağır ağır doğruldum The teardrops filled my eyes, I straightened up slowly
Ustam geldi sırtıma vurdu unut dedi romanları My boss came and slapped on my back and said: "Forget about the novels
İşçisin sen işçi kal giy dedi tulumları You are a worker (and can't change it so) stay as a worker". "Go put on your work-clothes", said he

I just love Ohran baba he is a genius, i guess this song came out in 1971 if I am not mistaken

    Orhan gencebay - kadermin oyunu

Ne sevenim var, ne soranim var
    Öyle yalnizim ki
Çilesiz günüm yok, dert ararsan çok
    Öyle dertliyim ki

neither i have someone to love me nor someone to ask (about how i am)
    i am so alone..
i have no day without a trouble, if you ask for suffer i have plenty of them
    i am so afflicted

Bana kaderimin bir oyunu mu bu ?
    Aldi sevdigimi verdi zulüm’ü
    Dünyaya doymadan göçüp gidecegim
Yoksa yaşamanin kanunu mu bu ?

is this the twist of my fate to me?
it has given my love, gave me cruelty
i will pass away without getting enough of this world
or is this the law of living?

    Biktim artik yaşamaktan
Çekmekle biter mi bu hayat yolu ?
    Ahh... Bu yalnizlik, bu dertler

i have got sick and tired of living
is this way of life ends with suffer?
    aah... this loneliness, this troubles

    Bekleyecegim, bekleyecegim
    Geri dönmese bile
    Aliştim kaderin zulmüne artik
    Bana gülmese bile

    i will wait and wait
even if she won't come back
i got used to the cruelty of fate
even if it wonn't smile at me

    Geri dönmez artik giden sevgililer
    Her ümit ufkunda agliyor gözler
    Bitmeyen çilenin, derdin sarhosuyum
    Kahredip geçiyor en güzel günler

the darlings who went won't be coming back
at every horizon of hope the eyes cry
i am the drunkard of the nonstop affliction, trouble
the best days goes away depressing me

    Biktim artik yaşamaktan
Çekmekle biter mi bu hayat yolu ?
    Ahh... Bu yalnizlik, bu dertler

i am sick and tired of living
is this way of life ends with suffering
    ahhh.. this loneliness, these troubles

Today I am going to share a song from Nilüfer. Her song is Oh Ya from the year 1975, the video clip was made in 2010s as a parody for a talk show (Beyaz Show).

    Oh Ya Hard Cheddar!

Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3
Seni yalnız bıraktı He/she left you alone
Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3
O başkasına kaçtı He/she has gone with somebody else

Yalvardın yakardın You begged and implored him/her
Sözüne kulak asmadı He/she didn't listen to you
Ağladın sızladın You cried and whined
Göz yaşına bakmadı He/she didn't care about your tears

Karlar mı yağdı Did you laugh on the wrong side
    Güvendiğin dağlara Of your mouth
Sonunda kaldın ya At the end you remained
    Yalnız başına By yourself
Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3

Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3
Nasılmış beni aldatmak Do you understand now how it feels to be betrayed (like you did to me)
Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3
Nasılmış bırakıp kaçmak See how it is that they leave you and escape

Sana hiç acımam I don't feel sorry for you
Daha beter ol beter Hope you get worse
Oh ya oh ya oh ya Hard Cheddar!x3
Eden bulurmuş derler They say: "The bitter is bit"
Hiç yara almadan aynadan geçemezsin... (I can provide translations in English, German, Spanish upon request, just add my name in your post and the language you want)

Another song that I really like, this time we are in 1964

Yollarımız burada ayrılıyor Our ways separate here
Artık birbirimize iki yabancıyız From now on we are two strangers
Her ne kadar acı olsa, ne kadar güç olsa Even if it is sorrowful, even if it is difficult
Herşeyi evet herşeyi unutmalıyız We should forget everything, yes, everything

Hiç yaşamamışçasına, hiç sevmemişçesine As if we had never lived, as if we had never loved
Unutursun o günlerimizi, gecelerimizi You are going to forget our days and nights together
O günlerce gecelerce sevişmelerimizi Our days and nights long lovemaking

Her kederin tesellisi bulunur Every grief has a consolation
İnsan ne kadar sevse unutabilir No matter how much one loves, can forget
Mevsimler gelir geçer, yıllar geçer Seasons come and go, years pass by
Sen de unutursun bir gün gelir You also will forget one day

Herşeyi evet herşeyi unutabilirsin You can forget everything, yes everything
Hatta bütün yazdıklarımı satır satır Even every single line I wrote you
Kalırsa, içinde bir derin sızı kalır. The only thing that may remain in you is a deep pain
Hiç yara almadan aynadan geçemezsin... (I can provide translations in English, German, Spanish upon request, just add my name in your post and the language you want)
