Default From the 'Easy Listening' genre...

I've searched everywhere with key words, humming and whistling sites and just plain album lists and now I'm obsessed and desperate...I believe it's a '70's song with a male singer [not sure if it's a group or solo artist]
It sounds like 'easy listening' category - possibly a love song. It has a simple sort of sad melodic guitar part that I think repeats more than once. Ive heard this song many times on the radio over the years and always liked it but never knew the title. I heard it this week and can't get it out of my head.
    Lyrics I remember are not necessarily exact or in order and have other lines between and before them. They are;

    "Oooooo, I need you"
    [unknown line]
    "Oooooo, I want you"
    [unknown line]
    "Oooooo, I found you"

That's it...hope some one can help so I can get on with my life [lol]

    Thanks,

A couple of songs that are close
America's "I Need You" and Bob Dylan's "I want you"

    America's "I Need You"
We used to laugh, we used to cry
We used to bow our heads then, wonder why
And now you're gone, I guess I'll carry on
And make the best of what you've left to me
Left to me, left to me

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, I need you

And every day, I'd laugh the hours away
Just knowing you were thinking of me
And then it came that I was put to blame
For every story told about me
    About me, about me

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you
I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you

I need you like the flower needs the rain
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you
I need you like the winter needs the spring
You know I need you, guess I'll start it all again
You know I need you, I need you ...

    Bob Dylan's "I want you"
    The guilty undertaker sighs
    The lonesome organ grinder cries
The silver saxophones say I should refuse you
The cracked bells and washed-out horns
Blow into my face with scorn
    But it's not that way
I wasn't born to lose you
I want you, I want you
    I want you so bad
    Honey, I want you.

    The drunken politician leaps
Upon the street where mothers weep
And the saviors who are fast asleep
    They wait for you
And I wait for them to interrupt
Me drinkin' from my broken cup
    And ask for me
Open up the gate for you
I want you, I want you
Yes, I want you so bad
    Honey, I want you.

Now all my fathers they've gone down
True love they've been without it
But all their daughters put me down
'Cause I don't think about it.

Well, I return to the Queen of Spades
    And talk with my chambermaid
She knows that I'm not afraid
    To look at her
    She is good to me
And there's nothing she doesn't see
She knows where I'd like to be
    But it doesn't matter
I want you, I want you
Yes, I want you so bad
    Honey, I want you.

Now your dancing child with his Chinese suit
He spoke to me, I took his flute
    No, I wasn't very cute to him - Was I ?
But I did though because he lied
Because he took you for a ride
And because time was on his side
    And because I ..
I want you, I want you
Yes, I want you so bad
    Honey, I want you.

I Love You - Climax Blues Band

    When I was younger man I hadn't a care
Foolin' around, hitting the town, growing my hair
You came along and stole my heart when you entered my life
Ooh babe you got what it takes so I made you my wife

Since then I never looked back
It's almost like living a dream
    And ooh I love you

You came along from far away and found me here
I was playin' around, feeling down, hittin' the beer
You picked me up from off the floor and gave me a smile
You said you're much too young, your life ain't begun, let's walk for awhile

And as my head was spinnin' 'round
    I gazed into your eyes
And thought ooh I want you

Thank you babe for being a friend
And shinin' your light in my life
    'cause ooh I need you

As my head was comin' round
    I gazed into your eyes
And thought ooh I want you

Thanks again for being my friend
    And straightenin' out my life
    'cause ooh I need you

Since then I never looked back
It's almost like livin' a dream
    Ooh I got you

If ever a man had it all
It would have to be me
    And ooh I love you

Thanks jetstew...you nailed it! Shortly after posting this thread I had already found it by searching at picosearch [ I had the exact link but it's not working now]
One of my lyrics was wrong...instead of "Oooo, I found you" it should have been "Oooo, I got you".
Out of all the forums I posted in you were the only one that recognized it!
    Thanks again...Rich
