    Default Pariisin Kevät lyrics

    Hey guys,

I'm searching for Pariisin Kevät "Jalokiviä" and "Lähde" lyrics. I'm not a native Finnish speaker and there're some confusing parts in these lyrics which I can't figure out by myself. Any help would be appreciated. Kaunis kiitos!

    Yhtye: Pariisin Kevät
    Levy: Jossain on tie ulos
    Kappale: Jalokiviä

    (Verse 1)
Uni on musta uni, kauniina peittää maan.
Sulkee silmät vanhaan ja uuteen taas avaa.
    On pelastava uni vetää puoleensa,
Kuin kärpäsiä valo yössä tuolla kaukana.
Se on ja on ovi unohduksen, muistan että juoksen,
    Näkökentän rajamailla ja ohi reunuksen.

    (Refrain)
Näen jalokiviä taivaalla, taivaalla ja alhaalla maan alla
On syttynyt silmiksi, unista ulos ja uniin näkeville
    Valo loistaa, kutsuu uneen,
    surut poistaa, kutsuu uneen,
    surut poistaa.

    (Verse 2)
    Olen täällä jossain takana silmien.
    Muistot virtaa kaukaa lauluista äitien.
    On kartta piirrettynä aivokuoren poimuihin.
    Mieli vierii nopeasti menneisiin toilailuihin.
Alan toivoa että palaan pian ytimiin ja luihin.
    Siihen asti sokeasti tuijotan valoihin.

    (Refrain x2)
    (Bridge)

    Band: Spring of Paris
Album: Somewhere there is a way out
    Song: Jewels

    (Verse 1)
The dream is a black dream, it beautifully covers the earth.
Closes the eyes from the old, and to new opens them again.
It is a dream of salvation, that far-away light in the night,
is attracting us like flies. (1)
It is a door to oblivion, I remember that I was running.
At the edge of my field of view, and over the edge.

    (Refrain)
I can see the jewels in the sky, up in the sky and below under the ground
They have been ignited as eyes, out from the dreams and for those who can see into dreams,
The light is shining, It invites you to sleep,
It takes away your sorrows, It invites you to sleep,
    It takes away your sorrows.

    (Verse 2)
I'm in here somewhere, behind the eyes.
The memories are flowing from far-away, from the songs of mothers.
A map has been drawn, in the folds of cortex.
Thoughts are quickly rolling into our past mistakes.
I am beginning to hope, that I would soon return back into my body. (2)
Until then I will blindly stare into the lights.

    (Refrain x2)
    (Bridge)
    ---
    Translation notes:
    (1) I had to to re-arrange the words to turn it into plain English.
    (2) The actual term is "Back into my bones and marrows."

    Yhtye: Pariisin Kevät
    Levy: Jossain on tie ulos
    Kappale: Lähde

    (Verse 1)
    Astut lavalle ja esirippu aukenee,
On sadat saapuneet, ne yhtäkkiä vaikenee,
    Aistit jännityksen huoneessa nousevan,
    Silmät kiinni käyt valoihin,
    Tulit kertomaan jotain uutta
    Kaikki odottaa mahdollisuutta
    löytää omastaan palasen sun totuutta
    Silmät kiinni, käyt valoihin
    Olet näkijä, käyt valoihin

    (Refrain)
"Patsaat katuu, hajoaa, palat menee sekaisin.
Heinä lakoaa vaan pian nousee taas takaisin."
Takerrut kuvaan kuin takertuu höyhen pyörteeseen.
    Kuva hajoaisi, jos sukeltaisit lähteeseen.

    (Verse 2)
    Avaat silmät, katsot yleisöön kauhistuneeseen
Nostat kätesi mut ne ei vastaa sun eleeseen
Kuulet huutoja: "Me ei uskota sinun valheeseen"
    Takahuoneeseen pakenee näkijä
Ajatus hiipii takaraivoon jostain pitkin kaulaa
Sukellat lähteeseen, huudat: "Tää on juomakelpoista"
    mutta kukaan, kukaan ei seuraa

    (Refrain)
    Suljet silmät, olet näkijä
    Suljet silmät olet
    Suljet silmät olet näkijä
    Suljet silmät olet
    Suljet silmät olet näkijä
    Suljet silmät...

    Band: Spring of Paris
Album: Somewhere there is a way out
    Song: The source. (1)

    (Verse 1)
You enter the stage and the curtains open,
Hundreds of people have arrived, and they suddenly quiet down.
You can sense that tension in the room is rising,
You close your eyes and step into the lights.
You came to tell them something new.
Everyone is waiting for the opportunity,
to find within themselves a piece of your truth.
You close your eyes, you step into the lights.
You are the seer, you step into the lights.

    (Refrain)
"Statues are being toppled, they break up and their pieces are mixed.
Rain and wind bends the hay, but the hay soon rises back again."
You cling to the mental image, as a feather clinging to the vortex
The mental image would break up, if you would dive into the source. (3)

    (Verse 2)
You open your eyes and look at audience who are horrified.
Your raise your hands, but they are not responding to your gesture.
You will hear the shouts: "We are not believing yous lies".
    The seer escapes into backroom.
The thought creeps into the back of the head from somewhere along the neck.
You dive into the spring and you shout: "This is drinkable". (4)
But nobody is following you, nobody is following.

    (Refrain)
You close your eyes, you are the seer
You close your eyes, you are...
You close your eyes, you are the seer
You close your eyes, you are...
You close your eyes, you are the seer
    You close your eyes...
    ---
    Translation notes:
    (1) "Lähde" is "spring" (source of water), but it can also mean a source
of inspiration or a source visions for a seer.
    (2) The two first lines of the Refrain is the small fragment of a vision
which the seer is bringing from the source.
    (3) "Diving into the spring" means that the seer opens his mind
completely to the source, and lets the visions flood his mind.
    (4) "This is drinkable" means that the visions from the source did not
    drive the seer into madness.
