    Time is running out.
I repeat, time is running out.

Please will you take my hand
And guide me through the dark?
The sun is starting to set,
The ghosts are coming out to haunt.
Tell me that we’ll be okay,
As our faces blur to lines,
And that in the morning when we wake,
    We will be just fine.

    Frightened looks on people’s faces
    Everywhere we go.
    They’re scaring me.
    Take me away.
    Take me home.

    But home is not home,
    They’ve left us all stranded.
    Taken over by time itself,
    Time has expanded.

Please will you take my hand
And guide me through the dark?
The sun is starting to set,
The ghosts are coming out to haunt.
Tell me that we’ll be okay,
As our faces blur to lines,
And that in the morning when we wake,
    We will be just fine.
I repeat, we will be just fine.

    Tick tock, tick tock.
    The clock strikes again.
    Tick tock, tick tock.

This is well-written. You conveyed a real sense of fear.

Haunting, surreal and the flow slides along very easily. I like it a lot. Wish I could write as well.

I agree with Jim. The feeling of fear leaps off the page. I especially like the lines with 'I repeat'. It gives the song a sense of urgency. It's like someone looking for reassurance, that doesn't come.

Whenever I wrote that, I kept hearing an alarm blaring in my mind!
