"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

That's awesome, Amethysthos! Thanks for springgreetings.
This restless soul is on the verge of a very long holiday starting on May 4th.
It will mean: lots of poetry, reading and criticizing poetry, taking care of tumblr blog, and Twitter.
I hope you're well Amethysthos. It's so good to have you around.

    promises

    she walked on a lane
    all alone while the rain
wiped the dust of the leaves
    standing tall
    enjoying the smell
    of spring I could tell
she didn't mind to get wet,
    not at all

    she took of her coat
on a bench near the road
    took a rest just closing
    her eyes
    she felt so good inside
    and later that night
    made decisions which she thought
    were wise

    no more complaints
    or hypocrite saints
no jealousy , words of regret
    no more betrayal
    or feelings for sale
oh, how good her life would now get!

    lullaby of trees
    always awake
    curious movements
    branches hear the tunes
    sang by soothing winds
    moving smoothly

    let me befriend you
    my orphaned heart
    and offer you
    a safer place
    to beat freely
    for I
    am truely in love

    No more complaints
    Or hypocrite saints..........what can I say?This is poetry!Now I know!This paints a picture;different to everyone,different each reading.Just good old fashioned words........this is awe inspiring.
Note:I thought when I came back to your "Songbook" I'd have pages of poetry to read.....not so.It appears to me you are going with quality over quantity........I concur!

    Hi, Doug!

Flo BRO, believe me, these words touch me.
It is true, I try different ways of expressing myself,
writing down observations, thoughts, moments of wisdom, emptiness, feelings.
You are most welcome to share!

    THANKS.

    warridden soldiers
    rife with atrocities
    promising sunsets
    shrieking shells fall
    hearts bleeding freely
    common their colours
    unbearable sadness
    no way out at all

Default the wolf and the reindeer

"what you want to talk about?"
asked the reindeer with a smile
the wolf was silent, took a while
then he said:" i need time out!"

watched the reindeer, in his eyes
    there was hunger"I'd advice
you to flee, if you are wise
'coz I'd eat you , theres no doubt!"

a month later when they met
    said the wolf:"good you fled.
now I must admit that I
love you let's give it a try"!

were they happy, were they not
the outcome, my friends, i forgot
but though this seemed quite absurd
the story's true, i gave my word!"

as long as we think we are best
    ignoring nature and the rest
    being rude and acting vain
the outcome, sure, will be insane

    rainforests will soon be gone
little left to be proud upon
strong erosion , crops are poor
    hunger nagging us for sure

    anything to turn the tide
first get rid of blindness, pride
please, help others too to see
    we must defend earth' dignity
