    Default „Teach your children“ - Dana ?

    Hello, everyone!
In 1971 or 1972 saw a music programm on TV - I' m not sure if it was Eurovision or Unicef or Unesco. Dana (Dana Rosemary Scallon) sang famous song by CSNY - "Teach your children well"- I have a mp3 of very poor quality. (Besides that I remember the song by Miguel Rios- United, being on this programm ) There is no "Teach your children well" in Dana's discography. Where can I buy this song? Do you have any further information?

"Teach Your Children" is a song by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young on the Déjà Vu album (released in 1970).

You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by.
And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

And you, of the tender years can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth, they seek the truth before they can die.
Teach your parents well, their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams, the one they fix,the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

My apologies for getting in a hurry and and not understanding your request. I also did not find an available single or album that included Dana's version of "Teach Your Children". It's a shame the song was not included on her "Everything is Beautiful" album (mostly covers).

According to Wiki, BBC Television did give her two shows of her own: a series of A Day with Dana in 1974 and four series of Wake Up Sunday in 1979. For BBC Radio she presented a series of I Believe in Music in 1977. Did you try contacting the BBC to see if any of her shows are on archive?
