Please help! I can't find this song anywhere!

I've only heard a cover of it and I'm not too sure what the original genre is, but it starts out with a woman who leaves home and prayed to God to watch over his daughter, meaning her. Then, later in the song, she gets pregnant and asks God to look after his daughter, meaning her literal daughter. Does anyone recognize these lyrics!?
