    Song #1: I am pretty sure it was called "Dear Mr. Jesus" who sang it and where can I find it?

    It started off with a little kid singing " dear mr. jesus, i heard it on the news..." It was only played at christmas time in '86 or '87 and I never heard it again.

    Song #2: Should be easier, I think it is a country song from the mid 80's

    "...there's a boy outside, his name is tim, i think i'm gonna marry him...."

    I should have said that the title on #1 is indeed "Dear Mr. Jesus". Both items are readily available.
