Hello, I've been having the worst time trying to find a song i remember listening to on a random mixed cd my older brother had when i was around 10 years old. I know the song is from somewhere between the mid 90's to early 00's. It's a song sung in English, I heard it in the US, but i couldnt be sure if its an American or British song. The song had two versions on the CD we had; the first version was the actual song and the second version was the instrumental with a man's voice telling a story about a woman taking him for a ride in a car, her pulling over, leaning the seat back and unzipping him etc, telling him to grab the shifter, pull it, etc.
The regular actual song was sung by a woman and from what I remember sounds very much like the band Garbage. I cant remember any of the lyrics from the regular song, I can only remember the spoken word-ish one.
the closest sound I can connect to this song would be #1 Crush by Garbage. I'm not sure what genre that would be called, but that what sound I remember it being similar to. thank you

Well, I spent 4 hours listening to the Pandora station for the band Garbage and the song I was looking for finally played...
It's Hey Pretty by Poe, and the alternate version has the singer's brother reading a passage from his book.
