    Default "The Bottom Is Calling"

Life is like a big top
    Walking the tightrope
    Started out on bottom
    But I had high hopes

    Now I feel myself teetering
I think I'm one step closer to falling
Did it all not mean a thing?
Well I can hear it, the bottom is calling

    Too much pressure
    The walls are closing in
    I can't go on forever
    Trying to hold this in

    Now I feel myself teetering
I think I'm one step closer to falling
Did it all not mean a thing?
Well I can hear it, the bottom is calling

    When did this become
    My bright outlook on life?
At least I'm not the only one
    Who knows what it's like

    Do you feel yourself teetering
And think your one step closer to falling?
Did any of this mean anything?
Can't you hear it? The bottom is calling

    The bottom is calling

Hi, BIB! Oooow, a Nasty Feeling is creeping in, eh? "One step closer to falling"...
Life is a message of uncertainties. Fall flat on your face and stand up again, my friend.
You'd be an awful person if you'd sail through life like a happy man smiling with an
awful row of horseteeth showing the world you're always happy. It wouldn't be real.
    This sounds human, humble, honest.
But for goodness sake, even if you reach the bottom, don't stay there!
Get up again. You can do it. It's no way the end of your life.
As a song I'd put in a strong bass line, referring to the menace. It would work!

Thanks Amaryn. I had the same feeling. Strong bass line, grungy guitar with a hint of blues.

Got to be grunge, Nirvana style. I must say I see some depressed lyrics on this forum.

Yes Jim. Nirvana style would fit it well. As for the depressing lyrics, I am at a loss to explain it. I don't know why a majority of my lyrics are negative because I am not really that negative in my day to day life. I am sorry though if it bothers you.

I think positive people, optimists (like myself) need to balance themselves one way or another.
    It could well be the reason ;
On the other side the world as a whole offers every opportunity in both directions. Interesting remark there, Jim!
