Old sad love song 70's 80's?

I think it was the 70's or 80's, a women sings it but the only lyrics I remember were something like 'let me out let me out again' or 'let it out let it out' it was slow and sad it i remember correctly. I know its vague but if anyone could help that would be great thanks.

The lyrics remind me of the Freddy Mercury (Queen) and David Bowie song, "Under Pressure" (1981).
