I was thinking around the same! Three Days Grace and Rise Against came to mind!

as a musician i'd say: it's a heavy beat, sombre menacing bassguitars pointing out that you' re really on the verge of giving up.

Matt i agree with Kerri Faye and amaryn that it could go at least as light metal with some 'thick' guitar.....and i could almost even hear Alice In Chains in my second pass but that's just one of my own personal faves. You really did get a strong message across in a really 'clean' way and that's what the great songwriters always do.
