This is from the Solitary Men album, and they cranked up the reverberation so much, that I am just having a hard time to understand the words. Maybe that's what they liked in '83; but with today's pair of (still good) ears, I would say, reduce the reverb´ by 50 percent, and it's still TOO MUCH. LOL.
Just to have a basis, here's my draft, but some things read fishy or illogical in there; that's why I'd like someone of you guys with English as first language to revise this a little...
BTW this almost forgotten tune (probably just because of that) hasn't made it into the Internet lyrics archives for nearly 32 years. Wow. That's rare.

--draft starts here---
1.
Lazy afternoon, droppin' to the Hard Rock café
I'm drinking coffee, she came my way
She drove a red Ferrari, dresses of Armani
cursin' while movin' away
Oh-oh
2.
Mumble, hissin', flashes...(????)... my direction
Better move before too late
I always can rely on my imagination
To bring the little lady my way
(chorus)
A love affair
In the afternoon - my delight
A love affair
In the afternoon - my secret delight
3.
Some (to imagine ?| true magic ?) all so tight around me
Give you more than you can take
Paris, London, New York - any destination
Love you 'til you're ready to break
(repeat chorus)
(interlude (synth solo))
(bridge)
(Whoooh watch out!)
Someone stepped into my dream!
(Whoooh watch out!)
Oh lady doesn't listen to him!
(Whoooh watch out!)
He's still at home, away from me
(Whoooh watch out!)
Oh, we've stepped in a little fantasy - yeah!
