First off is that I'm impressed with your vocabulary and how you use those words.
Secondly, I like how you use repetition.
Also I like the few rhymes in the verses.

Thank you both! I've always enjoyed writing, but this was my first attempt at song lyrics. I have another one that I will post once I clean it up a bit and a third one I just started. I've posted this on a few different site, looking for as much feedback as I can get. All have been exceedingly positive, so I guess I am doing something right. I will go over this one again and see if I can get another verse in without if feeling like it's shoehorned into it.
