Default I Love You, I Hate You

    I'm living for your smile
And those feelings that you save for me
You're taking me the extra mile
    I swear, I'm in ecstasy
    Then somehow it always happens
You end up making me mad
I Love You, I Hate You
    Mostly I love you

    You're always on my mind
    You determine everything I do
This morning I had my hair done
I'm looking my best for you
But you've been out cutting grass
You smell like a tank o' gas
I Love You, I Hate You
    Mostly I love you

I make plans for the weekend
Hoping you'll spend some quality time with me
I open the door, in walk your buddies
    It's football on TV (sigh)

    solo

I want you by my side
I like knowing what you're gonna do
You tag along when I go shopping
    You carry my packages too
Then a hot young thing walks by
I see you give her the eye
I Love You, I Hate You
    Mostly I love you

    Somehow it always happens
You end up making me mad
I Love You, I Hate You
    Mostly I Love You
I Love You, I Hate You
    Mostly I love you

+I like the sound of the song and its content. I don't like the sound of 'quality' in the third verse second line. 'I Love you, I hate you. Mostly I love you.' ROFL there. I know it's just life. Hating somebody is just natural. I know it is serious but I wouldn't do anything like literally roll on the floor killing myself by laughing. Hint of amusement for me at that line. Maybe adding a 'but' before 'mostly' would kinda help unless you think I'm just ruining your masterpiece so I'm just giving a suggestion. Honestly, it's awesome.-

These lyrics remind me of something Le Ann Womack would sing (eg. "I'll Think of A Reason Later" by Tony Martin and Tim Nichols), particularly the second verse.

    +hi pq92k,
i like how you relate what people come up with to other songs. Your suggestions are valued, but writers would appreciate the fact that their lyrics are original.
You're funny on the first day by being serious.

There's nothing wrong with that, seriously there isn't.-
