Hi, can someone translate this song?
    Thank you!

    Lyrics from: http://www.stixoi.info/stixoi.php?in...&song_id=21023

    Upon the silver stool
    a young woman enthroned
    continuously knits in silence
two cordons (1), by using gold.

    King's son passed by
    and King's grandson
    followed by two armies
    and he approaches the partridge(2)

"Knit them and fringe their edge
craft each of them with diversity
    offer them to nobody
cause you may regret it in the future"

"Give them to me for a thousand piasters(3)
or for a thousand more if that suits you,
give em to me, to remember you
    the nights I stay awake"

"Ι won't offer these for any piaster
nor for one or two hundreds of them
but I'll offer them to you if you approach
    close enough and kiss me"

    (1) example of cordon=γαϊτάνι

    (2) a metaphor referring to young lady

    (3) piasters = old monetary units, more info here -> http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/piaster

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

I surely changed the last verse of the given Greek lyrics, cause on song's 1st edition that verse had been sung by a female.
So during the first edition there was a dialogue instead of the monologue in Xilouris' version.

Song's meaning is the same regardless this minor change btw
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

    Thank you, Amethystos!
For both, the translation and the original version.
