Okay, it came out about 82' or 83' and it was a R&B group, sounded like a group of guys, had a mid to slow, but dancable tempo with a slight new jack sounds to it and all I remember is the ending vamp which says something like....
"So fiiiiiiiine, such a lovely lady
so fiiiiiiiine (I think), always be my girl
so fiiiiiiine, stay with me forever"
there is one more line but I don't remember what it said but it sort of rhymed with "stay with we forever"

I did check that out when I got your message, but the Whispers didn't have a song called "So Fine", but, are you talking about the song that goes....... "Oooooh, so fiiiiiine, so fine you blow my mind." That does sound like the Whispers especially at the end but that's a cat named Howard Johnson (at times, he has a vocal tone very close sounding to the lead singers of the Whispers) and that track "just happens to be called" called "So Fine". The joint I'm checkin' for is much slower and has a swingy rythm to it but I appreciate you checkin' for me.
