just thinking about synadelfos . . . . . that should mean colleague or friend ?????

... the Greek word for "friend", is "φίλος" (~FILOS) ... as I am sure you "recognise" from MANY, MANY words ... !!! ... ...

Actually, it derives from the "ancient verb" of "φιλώ" (~FILO) ... which means "to love" ... and as it "traveled through time" to today ... the same "verb" in Modern Greek means "to kiss" ... ... ...

    ... and subsequently, "φιλί" (~FILI) = "kiss" > plural "φιλιά" = "kisses" ...

... a reminder that the "accents" are there to help with the "pronunciation" of words ... like for example if I was to do the same thing to English words, it would be something like this ...

    ... Mόnday ... tomόrrow ... Univέrsity ...

    you see ?!? ... ...

Also NOTE that, .... SINGLE syllable words, do NOT take "accents" !!!!! ...

... the only possibility that a "single syllable word" would HAVE an accent, would be to "differentiate" from a word that looks exactly like "another more common in meaning" word ... !!! ... e.g. "η" = female article for "nouns" or "names" ["η πόρτα" (~i porta) = the door) .... .... ....
    .... .... and "ή" which HAS an "accent" and means "or" ... !!! ...

    OK ?!?

... the good "Great Spirit" that "created" us, wouldn't make us able to "feel" the "smell" and the "taste" of things, if it was ANY other way intented ... ...

... I, for one, enjoy food very much ... but unfortunately, I enjoy "sweets" even more ... !!! ... LOL LOL LOL ... ...
