I'm from Britain and new to the Forum. I'm trying to identify a rock song that's always on the radio here, and sounds very familiar to me, but I've never stopped to consider what the song is or who made it. I do quite like the song, so would be interested to know.
The features are as follows:
1. The genre is rock, and sounds very '80s' - so I am assuming it is from that era.
2. The singer is male with a North American accent, and I am assuming he is Caucasian.
3. The tempo is quite fast and hard.
4. I can't quite make out the words, but the chorus goes something like this: "Yeah oh-oh, you're liftin' [or takin'] me higher", and later the chorus switches to words like, "Yeah oh-oh, this [...] on fire".
5. In fact, the song has very few words beyond that chorus.
