Recently, I have finally got hold of a collection of songs I "heard" when I was little ... ... ... ... The album is called "The Essential Leo Sayer - Endless Journey" ... ... !!! ... and "Yes!" ... I am very much a "Funk"ish sort of person ... ... LOL LOL

Vette, you get my vote. I have found plenty of references to Leo Sayer performing that song in the early/mid-80s. It's on his album, etc. Just can't find his particular lyrics.

My tastes in music are all over the planet, including Leo Sayer. He seems like a good person and I feel he is most musically gifted. I do remember at the height of his popularity that he didn't appear exactly mainstream. So what?

Hi there azimut. I've been looking for those lyrics for 2 days. If you have the song, I suggest you play it over and over while you or a friend write the lyrics down. I'll keep looking, howeve,r I don't have much confidence. Since you use the internet, you might try locating a Leo Sayer web site or fan club and see if they can help. Don'y lose that cheery atitude. Wish I could do more.
