    Hi!

My favourite Serbian singer is Marija Serifovic ( and Ceca). They are the BEST!
And i love listening her music and her voice. She is very talented.
I watched a couple of videos in youtube, and i found some other songs too. For example "Lepi gorme moj", "Kad zamirisu jorgovani",
so since that time i like the serbian songs very much.
But i know for instance Goran Bregovic as well...so

@spring:I've never been to Sombor.I guess it's peaceful like the rest of Vojvodina..
@naradu:It's very strange to me that we're famus for music. And,as I can see,for Spring too.Very strange indeed

@Spring: sorry for my typing's error.
Sometimes i watch the Eurovision Song Contest, and i came to like her songs and voice.
Lots of people love Marija, and i also.
    Why is it strange?
Than again of course i have other favourite singers, and bands from different countries but my eternal favourite the spanish music!!!!
    te adoro Espaņa!
what kind of music do you like apart from serbian music?

hihi, so much off topic discussion here
and Spring & Angeliki: you find it weird that people from other countries like Serbian music? i cant believe it i find your music incredible! (and language too ^^) not many people in Finland know anything of it though and its a shame.

and.. here's 2 songs, i've tried translating them myself, but not everything makes sense 2 me

    Ceca - Znam

    Dah na staklu kao magla
    vrhom prsta pesma draga
    i na kraju slova
    tvoga imena

    Srce kuca, tika taka
    ulica je puna mraka
    ja bih nocas
    samo tebe ljubila

    Veruj suze necu kriti
to sto bude to ce biti
    nema nade
    kad se ladje potope

Jer za mene samo ti si
    tebi plove moje misli
    kad na satu kazaljke
    se poklope

    Ref.
    Znam nema nade
    znam idu zime
    samo nocas da sam tvoja
    pa zauvek ostavi me

    Znam sve ce proci
    znam nikad vise
    jer te tvoje crne oci
    nose meni vecne kise

    ---

Seka Aleksic - Sta je bilo, bilo je

Da li si srecan, izgledas mi sjajno
    il' zivis jos u proslosti
    distanca ucinila je svoje
    i bili smo suprotnosti

    Da li si zaljubljen
    il' sve je prevara
    stara balada i dim
kao i uvek ja prva odlazim

    Ref.
Sta je bilo, bilo je, srce se zaludjuje
sta je bilo, bilo je davno nekada
nisi vise isti, a nisam ni ja

Sta je bilo, bilo je, srce se zaludjuje
sta je bilo, bilo je davno nekada
u ovom zivotu s' tobom nikada

Hi my name is Vicki and i joined this site to hopefully meet people that would help me in translateing a couple of songs into Serbian. Specifically a couple of verses of the song: You Are My Sunshine ? (for starters)
