    Default Manu Chao Homens Translation

Can anyone do this for me? I love this song and I would like to know what it means.

    Much appreciated!!!

    homens,
    gosto de todos,
    dos morenos, dos mulatos,
dos branquinhos , dos loirinhos e dos crioulos.
    só tem que ser homem.
tem homem corno, homem baixo, homem gordo,
    homem ingrato, safado, careca, cabeludo,
    viado , ousado, temido,
    e amor,
e vai te dar por toda vida grandes felicidades,
    serão felizes,
este é o homem de verdade....
    homens,
gosto de todos, dos morenos, dos mulatos,
dos branquinhos, dos loirinhos e dos crioulos,
    ...só tem que ser homem.....

Red face Im new to the forum, so, ill try to leave a good impression!!!

    ^^

    Here you go:

    Manu Chao - Men

    Men,
    I like 'em all,
    The morenos, the mulatos
The white, the blonde, and the crioulos
morenos, mulatos, and crioulos are coloured men.moreno= lighter brown, mulato= brown, and crioulo= darker brown ^^ (don't know how to translate to english!!)
    Just gotta be a man.
There are men who are cheated on, short men, fat men,
    Ungratefull men, naughty, bald, hairy,
    fag, bold, frightful,
...There are a lot of men....
Every manly man has to be respected,
Must know how to hear, talk, listen, have money, mobile,
be a good lover, and respect....
If the man doesnt have any of these virtues,
    Get away, and do something.
    Because the real man,
    He loves you, love you,
Takes care of you, takes care of you,
    with affection,
    with respect,
    and love,
And will give you for all your life great happiness,
    You will be happy,
    This is the real man...
    Men,
    I like 'em all,
    The morenos, the mulatos
The white, the blonde, and the crioulos
    Just gotta be a man.

Well, i tried, sorry if it isn't good enough!!

    ^^

    Cya

It's not in any Brazilian dialect.
Portoguese is a language of its own not a Brazilian dialect.

    Hey guys!
In Brasil we speak portuguese. Our portuguese has a few diferences from the one spoken in Portugal, and thats why some like to call it "Brazilian Portuguese" - while the one from Portugal would be "European Portuguese". But other don't agree and claim that they are all the same.
We don't have official dialets, only indian dialets, that are almost dead, and almost no one can speak (really, in some tribes, just 1 or 2 indians speaks their native language).
    Hope i helped anyhow..
    C ya!!
