Help !!

I heard a song at a bar the other night. It was a rock and roll band that played all dance music. The lyrics had the words stand by me or will you stand by me. It's not the slow song Stand By Me. It's a dance song and it's driving me crazy who sang the song and the name of it. It was from the 70's or 80's. Anyone know this song????? Please help.

No that's the slow song. This one I'm talking about is completely different. It's fast and a dance song. I don't know if it's even called that. It just says that in the lyrics. Thanks anyway.
