There's a song that I get in my head everytime I see the phrase "Street map" but I've never known what it is.

The song is sung by a woman with a strong voice (who sounds a bit like Gladys Knight or Shirley Bassey), and the lyrics, which I may have got completely wrong, are something like:

Street light de doo doo
I walk a thousand miles a day
Street light...
........

Later on she gets more emphatic in her singing of "Street light". I've looked up the phrase but found nothing, so I may have misremembered the lyrics. I think the song is from the seventies.

Yes, that's exactly it. That explains why I couldn't find anything in Google and also makes more sense as lyrics.
