Default Romanian to English or Dutch [Voltaj - Scrisoare]

Hello there people, I'm new here at this forum. I really like this forum because there are a lot of Romanian songs translated! First time I heard a song was at my (Romanian) friend's house. I really liked it, so now I'm really into Romanian songs. I'm also trying to learn some Romanian, it's a beautiful language!

My favorite Romanian band is Voltaj! I really, really like it! My friend bought me their latest album "Povesta Oricui" (what does that mean?) and I also have "The Best Of" cd.

They are the best! I want to suprise my friend by translating her a song (just to be impressive) hehe.. Hope you guys can help out!

Thanks in advantage (if you need help to translate from English to Dutch or Dutch to English don't hesitate to ask)!

    Voltaj - Scrisoare ("letter" right?)

    Numar zilele, numar noptile

    Numar zilele, numar noptile
    Zilele, noptile
    Astept

    Thanks in advantage!

    Hello and welcome

First: "Povesta Oricui" means "Anybody's Story" as in the story in which anybody can recognize him/herself.

And indeed everybody can recognize themselves in this band's lyrics.

    Now the song:

Voltaj - Scrisoare ("letter" right?) I'm sure you'll impress her You're right about the title.

Today it was warm and sunny , but not in my heart
Si dimineata mi s-a parut ca aud vocea ta
And in the morning I thought I heard your voice
Nu stiu cum sa fac sa nu-mi mai fie asa de dor
I don't know how to do so as not to miss you so much
And I'm writing these lines to you hoping that time will pass more easily

    Numar zilele, numar noptile
I'm counting the days, I'm counting the nights
That I have to wait till I'll hold you in my arms(literally hold you at my chest)
    Zilele, noptile
    The days, the nights
    Astept
    I'm waiting

And I don't want to wake up anymore between these white, empty walls
The same like my soul when we're not together
Far away and alone I wonder when am I gonna get back
I need you the same way the earth needs rain

    Numar zilele, numar noptile
I'm counting the days, I'm counting the nights
That I'll have to wait till I'll hold you in my arms
    Zilele, noptile
    The days, the nights
    Astept
    I'm waiting

I hope it helps. If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask

Thanks alot! You really helped me out here! It was a quick reply too!

Woow, that's pretty cool. When I hear this song I always think about missing someone I care about. (lyrics are about that too)!

    Well, Thanks again! Voltaj rulez!

Thank you and I'm glad I could help.

Indeed that's the feeling the song inflicts and the lyrics speak no less....
