    Default Simpsons episode (Kent Brockman swearing)

    There is an instrumental song in the new Simpsons episode where Kent Brockman swears on TV and gets fired. I've heard it before, but never known what it is.

    It plays as he leaves the building after he's just been sacked - he walks past a line of his colleagues and outside into the rain carrying a cardboard box. It seems to be a harmonica played over strings.

    Does anyone know what this is?

    Sorry, I don't know the tune but maybe someone else here can identify it from this clip;

    Simpsons Episode

    I think the tune you mean is at 6 minutes and 6 seconds into it.

    Yes, it's 6 minutes, 6 seconds into that clip. Hopefully someone can recognise it.

    It sounds like "Midnight cowboy" by John Barry from the film of the same name.
    In the film the harmonica was played by Toots Thielemans
