Tonk Angels," there was another record of the same tune, made by a preacher or meant to sound like it wassung by a preacher, telling us that if husbands and wives would love each other there would be no need for Honky Tonk Angels. Does anyone know the name and lyrics of this one?
    Thanks!

I'm not sure. It's normally performed by female country artists. Here's a link which might be helpful. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Wasn't_God_Who_Made_Honky_Tonk_Angels

Here's the lyrics of the original:

As I sit here tonight the jukebox playin'
The tune about the wild side of life
As I listen to the words you are sayin'
It brings memories when I was a trusting wife

It wasn't God who made Honky Tonk angels
As you said in the words of your song
Too many times married men think they're still single
That has caused many a good girl to go wrong

It's a shame that all the blame is on us women
It's not true that only you men feel the same
From the start most every heart that's ever broken
Was because there always was a man to blame

It wasn't God who made Honky Tonk angels
As you said in the words of your song
Too many times married men think they're still single
That has caused many a good girl to go wrong

Tonk Angels," the third record was in response to both The Wild Side of Life, and It Wasn't God.... It was sung by a man, and the lyrics were saying something like: if husbands and wives would love and respect each other, there would be no Honky Tonk Angels. My grandmother had all three records on 78rpm, and I remember playing those three over and over because I love the tune and the message. I can't find the third one anywhere on the Internet.
