SATURDAY 2 JUNE 2007
COLLEGE FIELD, EASTBOURNE COLLEGE, OLD WISH ROAD

Saturday 2 June will see the first Field of Sound - a new and unique concert that is sure to
take Sussex by storm. The stunning setting of Eastbourne College Field will see the
internationally acclaimed opera band Amici Forever headline an exhilarating evening of
high-octane classical entertainment.

Audience members are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere on
the manicured College Field in front of Eastbourne College’s dramatic cloisters. As the music reaches its crescendo and the sun sets, a breathtaking firework display will light up the night sky bringing a perfect summer evening to a spectacular climax.

With an expected crowd of around 3,000 people, Field of Sound is one of the largest events
that Eastbourne has seen and looks set to become a regular fixture in the town’s diary.
“Bringing an event like Field of Sound to Eastbourne is incredibly exciting!” said Harry
Guthrie of HTO Productions. “Reaction so far has been very positive. We are sure this will be an event that Eastbourne will be proud to host for years to come!”

Since the chart-topping triumph of their debut album, The Opera Band, in 2003, the Amici
Forever success story has swept around the globe. Known for performing beautiful timeless melodies, Amici Forever combine the power of opera with the crossover appeal of pop. The Classical Brit Award nominees have performed for the Queen and television audiences of six million, at the Festival of Remembrance, and 500 million worldwide at the 2004 Champions’ League final at Old Trafford.
