    LOL @ I don't speak French.

Μια φορά κι έναν καιρό... many years from now, I asked my husband (he wasn't my husband back then) what a song was all about. He replied: "How would I know, re mwro?". I was shocked and said: "Plaka mou kaneis! But that's Greek!". Then he replied: "That, agapi mou, is Ancient Greek. I'm not" lol
Stubborn as I am, I told him I'd find out myself. That was the crucial moment when I decided to get involved with Classical languages.
Hehe! Greeks cannot understand completely ancient Greek. They catch some words, but most of the times they cannot get the meaning. I'm not proud for saying that!

Btw, I'm really impressed with you sweety. You're not Greek (I consider you as a Greek, of course! ), but you know more things about modern and ancient Greek from the real Greeks. You're so smart and you really wanna learn. I like it! Обичам те...

    Hi Maria!
Its antheia. I chanced upon this thread and I find it so useful as I can't find any other simpler area to learn basic greek letters. I think you are doing your country very proud. Thanks a lot!

    Default Quick reply

    Hi all.

Sorry for the late reply but this week I am working afternoon and night shifts and it was hard for me to write a big message.
    But I will soon.

Interesting opinions you have my friends and we can have a nice discussion about it.

My friend panselinos I don't need Liakopoulos. Most of the things he says I know almost 10 years before him. (You have to read some Ioannis Passas and Theothoros Aksiotis books )

I have to go to work soon so I can't write more right now.
I'll just give you a site to read and have a clue for starters:

    &

    The site is in Greek.
It is only for Maria_gr and Panselinos (or who ever can understand Greek)
It's about our discussion, not greek lessons.
Please read it and we will talk about it.

I know that you are good persons and you want to learn things and you love your country. (despite of panselinos been a little ironic with me. )
I have many things to say so if you two want to give an e-mail we can talk about all that and I won't have to bother our friends who want to learn Greek here.

Maria_gr keep up the good work. (I will explain soon why I can't help you with it. Sorry).

Seda (bogazici86) nice to meet you too. I am Haris.
    Optum.

nice talking to you all again
    Be well

    Default Hmmm. . .

I've noticed that the link I gave you in my message isn't readable.
    (To me at least).
But if you clik on it it is working.

It was just an opinion, seen from a linguistic point of view. =)
I don't want to argue with you. Just when it comes to this question, I prefer and lean on the balanced, unprejudiced knowledge of languages.
You cannot possess such a knowledge. Neither can I (I admit it), though I try. And I'm not even Greek.

Yeah, and Tsatsomoiros, right? :р What makes you think I haven't read these? Just because their point of view doesn't concur with mine, doesn't mean I completely ignore them. On the contrary. Besides, it's great fun.

Hehe, I've read such materials about many cultures and many languages. Actually, I deal with them every day. Some are frankly absurd, but many of them sound more or less well grounded. Yet they all make me smile, because none of them is completely true. Guess why. =)

Anyway, I'd be glad to share opinions with you via email.

Lo de imperfect, es el pasado? y aorist a que equivale?

Y un favor, sera que puedas poner no sé... de ahora en adelante el significado de los verbos que uses? para que podamos irlos aprendiendo
