Need Artist for "Spirit of America" (I have lyrics)

I have the lyrics to a song from the late 70's or early 80's that I believe is called "Spirit of America". I really need to know the artist/album.

Spirit of America:
Brighter days will soon be reappearing.
The dawn is breaking and the night is on the run.
Further up the road there is a clearing.
Let us walk together in the sun.

I can hear the sound of unity rising in our land,
It's the song being sung by the single voice of every woman, child and man,
It's phrase is so familiar, it's like a long lost friend,
It's the Spirit of America awakening again.

My wild guess is "Spirit of America" by David LaFlamme (1976)
