I know this is not an important question, but im curious.
Can you embed youtube videos in your posts on this site?
If so, how?

i was just wondering about the same thing but.. hm.. i guess not
HTML code is not enabled and there is no vb code for videos
so... maybe administrators should think about that

Yeah, i think your right. But maybe we could ask them, ill think about it.
You can paste a youtube link. F.e. YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
But if i understand well, you want something else and not link... Then yes, administrators must think about it.
I think, it'll make forum slower. You may post links to YouTube, but about videos itself.. Think, some part of visitors are using slow internet connection, and it'll be not a pleasure for them to wait for video loading.
videos from youtube wouldn't slow forum down.
those with slow connection might only wait longer for the image to show up (image of video) but playing the videos would not effect forum... videos linked from other sites actually use bandwidth from the other sites (same is with images linked from other places - this way you "steal" other's bandwidth).
Anyways, it's your choice and links are just fine as well
It is not a secret exactly
There are more ways, but an very easy one is here: KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion!
get FLV player and you're ready to go.
clean and simple.
Oooh, yes it is!
Thanks! Good find i believe, it will be useful to many members here.
here's the direct link, if anyone wants: vixy.net : Online FLV Converter : Download online videos direct to PC / iPod / PSP. It's free!
*Edit*: I added here something for you, but decided to PM you instead.
One PM coming your way
thank you too,but I suppose I'M THE WINNER HERE
Hehe.
I'll announce this out loud then: MANTRAS IS THE WINNER HERE!!
oooohhhhhhhh YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Dear winner, thanks for the tip i also didn't know about that one.. i know there's a firefox add-on ... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2390
Vdownloader
downloads the videos straight into AVI or MPG and so you don't even need to convert from .flv [which are a pain IMO]
It's a free, small program - been using it for a long time; it works well.
There are several programs around that do it [as mentioned already] but this and Orbit are two of the best free ones I think.
Haha, and who's the winner now??
Thanks, FAB, you are wonderful (as always)! looks, like it's very good one, I will implement this right now.
what's the prize ?
