    Default English language song about Moscow/Russian Women

    Hello! I'm looking for a song I heard on the radio in Moscow a couple of weeks ago. I didn't catch the specific lyrics, but it was an English language song sung by a male, referencing being stuck in Moscow/Russia with the Russian women, as well as referencing vodka. It was a very random song (I overheard it in a hostel cafe, and the woman working there didn't know it). However it was amusing and I wish I'd thought to write down the lyrics. If anyone has any information about this song I'd be grateful!

    Cheers!

    Reminds me of my favorite Zevon Warren song, "Lawyers, Guns And Money"

    Well, I went home with the waitress
    The way I always do
    How was I to know
    She was with the Russians, too

    I was gambling in Havana
    I took a little risk
    Send lawyers, guns and money
    Dad, get me out of this

    I'm the innocent bystander
    Somehow I got stuck
    Between the rock and the hard place
    And I'm down on my luck
    And I'm down on my luck
    And I'm down on my luck

    Now I'm hiding in Honduras
    I'm a desperate man
    Send lawyers, guns and money
    The **** has hit the fan

    Send lawyers, guns and money...
    Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title

    I'm sure it's Chris De Burgh "Moonlight and Vodka"

    And the lyrics

    Fix me a drink, make it a strong one,
    Hey comrade, a drink, make it a long one,
    My hands are shaking and my feet are numb,
    My head is aching and the bars going round,
    And Im so down, in this foreign town;

    Tonight theres a band, it aint such a bad one,
    Play me a song, dont make it a sad one,
    I cant even talk to these russian girls,
    The beer is lousy and the food is worse,
    And its so damn cold, yes its so damn cold,
    I know its hard to believe,
    But I havent been warm for a week;

    Moonlight and vodka, takes me away,
    Midnight in moscow is lunchtime in l.a.,
    Ooh play boys, play...

    Espionage is a serious business,
    Well Ive had enough of this serious business,
    That dancing girl is making eyes at me,
    Im sure shes working for the k.g.b.
    In this paradise, ah cold as ice;

    Moonlight and vodka, takes me away,
    Midnight in moscow is sunshine in l.a.,
    Yes, in the good old u.s.a.

    Reminds me of Back in the USSR

    That would be too obvious though - plus there's no vodka. Arghhh!!!
