My girlfriend recently started to listen to this song. I asked her what the hell butter love was and if it was anything like margarine love. She had no idea. I need to know what it means. It's by a band or guy or whatever called Next. Do(es) he(they) love eating butter as much as I do? Is the song a gay song meaning butthole love? Does he rub butter all over his girl? WHAT? 1st & for most, ur friend is super late! The song came out anywhere between '97-'99. Next is a group! There from Minnesota.. I know this because I'm live in Minnesota & I've met all of em... back when the song was out!
Secondly Butta Love is a metaphor! Butter is smooth & creamy! So is "the girls" love/sex/ vagina!
Butta love is also a slang term used mostly amongst the hip hop community or amongst people who R just hip.
Example: "Yoh, your shoes R butta"
Meaning: I like ur shoes, ur shoes R cool, nice, and/or hip!
