Default I am searching turkish pop song

    Hi everybody,
I had yesterday some oriental dance training with an egyptian teacher. For the warm up he used a turkish pop song.

It was a male sing, up beat rhythm, maybe Tarkan but I am not sure; and in the refrain the singer said something like TOK TOK. Our teacher said he was told by some turkish people that this means "Let´s go" (Yalla !)

I hope anybody knows the song. I need singer and title so I can buy the CD.

Thank you in advance and have a nice day

    Tahira

    Hi Volcano,
no unfortuntelly not; I was so concentrated on our movements. I remember it was a very catchy song and we used it for warm up with some jazz movements. It was upbeat but with oriental tunes.
At the end of this workshop I asked the songs name and singer but he didn´t know, just that the refrain TOK TOK (or something similar) means Let´s go/Let´start; the arabic synonym would be YALLA and the greek one ELLA or BAME.

I am repeating myself....; I guess that is is a new song; and the style of music reminded me on Tarkan.

    ..... :-) Tahira

Do you mean this song ?

    Canım ister birisini
    Fıkır fıkır çiftetelli
    Deli dolu olması lazım
    Şıkır şıkır döktürmesi lazım

    Döktür döktür şimdi eller havaya
    Döktür döktür parmaklar şıplatmaya
    Döktür döktür elleri dizlere vurmaya
Olmadı şimdi hep beraber bir daha

    Döktür döktür şimdi eller havaya
    Döktür döktür parmaklar şıplatmaya
    Döktür döktür elleri dizlere vurmaya
Şimdi oldu devamı da az sonra

    Yes, Volcano, exactly this one.

YOu don´t need to translate it word by word it would be enough if you give me the general message of this song.

    Thanks in advance!

    My heart wants someone
With a bubbling noise çiftetelli(kind of folk dance)
    She should be thoughtlessly babbling
    She should dance jingling

    Dance,dance now,hands up
    Dance,dance,fingers with dripping sound
Dance, dance, hit the hands to the knee
    It didn't happen,again all together

    Dance,dance now,hands up
    Dance,dance,fingers with dripping sound
Dance, dance, hit the hands to the knee
Its ok now,It will continue soon after
