when he sings " capi' che felicita' non e mai la meta di un finito "

It's a little odd to translate this line out of the context, but i guess the idea is that hapiness is not the purpose of our actions.

You are right , out of context it's tough . But I knew that a literal translation was not what was called for in this situation . In the same way that popular expressions ( colloquialisms) need to be translated as an idea not word for word . I know that I'm still learning italian , ho imparato cio' ( la povvera
quantita' ) che so io stesso .. sensa scuola ma per l'aiuto dalle persone
con cui condivido per computer come lei , but with the kindness of those

Well, i wish you good luck in learning this beautiful language and from what you wrote i think you're on the right path. Listening to Italian music is always helpful for those who want to learn the language and the beauty of the lyrics is a reward for them when they will be able to understand them.
