American Singers - Female - 60's

I have a number of male American singers from the 60's in my collection. But I dont seem to have many white solo female artists of that era. At this stage I only seem to have come across Connie Francis, Brenda Lee and Connie Stevens.

Can anyone think of any more notable ones??

Thanks - Thats a pretty good list - dont remember susan vaughan but can recall the song. You are right re Doris Day - mainly 50's as was Debbie Reynolds - not sure re Bobby Gentry - might be 70's.
