Is there any difference between латвийская and латышская?

Латвийская refers to a Latvian state, латышская refers to a latvian ethnicity.

But cause Latvia is not an empire like the British Empire, the difference is not that big

I see two new professors: Ja vi`zhu dvux no`vyx professoro`v

But as it comes to "I see 22 new professors", I've seen all the following three versions:

    Ja vi`zhu dva`dtsat' dva no`vye professora`

    Ja vi`zhu dva`dtsat' dva no`vyx professora`

    Ja vi`zhu dva`dtsat' dvux no`vyx professoro`v

Sorry for spelling Latin alphabet, I can't input Cyrillic on the computer now (((

I think the best phrase is Я вижу двадцать два новых профессора ( ja vizhu dvadtsat' dva novyh professora )

What about 1st phrase I think the both pharse are right
В моей комнате ( v moey komnate )I would translate it There is ( there are ) something in my room For example : there are a lot of furniture in my room -В моей комнате много мебели
and У меня в комнате ( u menya v komnate ) is I have something in my room For example: I have a lot of furniture in my room -У меня в комнате много мебели
What about second phrase The phrase У меня болит голова ( u menya bolit golova ) is common Usually we say so

I think the latter variants are used more frequently in colloquial speech.

Моя голова болит sounds ungainly, it's not frequently used.
However, you can say в моей комнате if you mean "my room" as opposed to "my parents' roon", "my sister's room", "uncle Boria's room" or anything, defining your room within the house. If you're just speaking about your room without emphasizing whose room it is, you should rather say у меня в комнате.
It's not a strict rule and I don't know if it's possible to deduce a more general one to cover all the uncountable variants of such usage, but that's the best I can do.

// The tourist came into his room and shut the door behind him. He saw in front of him a large room with a bed, a chair and a washbasin, but no towels. He was glad he had brought some with him. As he was feeling rather tired, he decided to have a wash and a sleep, although he imagined that the bed would not be very comfortable
