The Red Army Choir - Off We Go

The Red Army Choir - Off We Go

there is a long way for us
    Cheer up, soldier, look!
The banner of regiment is flapping in the wind
    the officers are ahead

Soldiers, go, go, go (in a way- literal)
    And you, my dear
    Have mail
    Farewall, the pipe calls
    Soldiers, in the march!
Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it!!!!

I'm sorry but suddenly I realised there's abit more. Please translate for me again?

    Here you go

Each soldier is a courageous guy

Has a brave look in the line

We became related with the glory

We got glory in the battle.

    Let the enemies remember this

We don't threaten, we say it

We passed half the world with you

We can do it again - if needed.

Far we'll go side by side
    Soldier, cheer up, I say!
    Our battalion's flag is high
    And commanders lead the way.

Let's go, let's go, troops go!
And just for you, my dear,
I've sent some mail from here,
    Farewell! The horn is blown,
    the soldiers, march on.

    Soldier is a fearless fellow,
    Falcon-sharp and ranks are tight.
We are now one with Glory
We won Glory in the fight.

Let's go, let's go, troops go!
And just for you, my dear,
I've sent some mail from here,
    Farewell! The horn is blown,
    the soldiers, march on.

    Let the foes remember something,
We don't threaten, we just say
    We have marched half-world together,
We can do this any day.

Let's go, let's go, troops go!
And just for you, my dear,
I've sent some mail from here,
    Farewell! The horn is blown,
    the soldiers, march on.

there, now even West Point can march to this. Enjoy.

oh, and in the 1970s, the original 1954 verse starting with "Let the foes remember something", was replaced with a more peaceful one:

Days of learning, days of building
Have arrived for you and and I,
so our towns would always blossom
And our cities grow and thrive!
