AE - U2-ish Song

I was in AE over the weekend and this really good song came on but we were in a hurry so I couldn't wait to see the end of the video...anyway, the band sounded very U2-ish, but it wasn't U2. I don't even remember any of the words, so this probably doesn't help very much, but if anyone knows what U2 sounds like, they sounded like them.
