This Love

I wrote this in like 20 minutes... Let me know what you think

Climbing these stairs to get away from this ungrateful earth
Trying to find your helping hand in the midst of all this sin
I can’t open my eyes because I’m covered deep in sorrow
I continue forward, continue to fight the pain
When I finally reach the top of this never-ending fight
I want to see you there with open arms, waiting to take me in
After fighting hard to stay true to myself, I deserve to feel your love
Years have past were I could have fallen into sin
Ever so often I look past what could have been the end
When I reach the clouds on my journey to find your grace
I want to feel free of the demons that tied me down to this earth
I’m almost there I can feel the presence of your warmth
Just a few more steps and I’ll be in the arms of your love
My prayers have been answered; you helped get me here
Oh Lord your love makes me feel alive again

It's good, except that it doesn't really rhym. Go over it a couple of times and try to change words in the end so the words would rhym. Good luck!
