    Default Twilight

    Hey everyone!

I'd like to promote my band - Twilight - and ask for help to define our genre/style. People keep asking me and I can't really answer.

You can listen to our single in our Myspace and/or download them together with the lyrics book and artwork in this site.

We are currently working on our album and we plan to release it soon. The album will tell about a village where several characters live, each one with his/her unique personality and way of life. Each song from the album will tell a brief story about one character's life, his/her problems and his/her relationship with the other inhabitants.
From the single you can listen to the song about Arina, the tavern waitress (Special Days) and the song about Kepa, the madman (Numbers). You can also watch our first live performance playing Close To The Edge, the song from Gawain, the hermit. All the other characters will be revealed on the album!

I hope you enjoy our music!

That's a VERY good track but I'm not sure if putting "drunktards" in Special Days is a bonus...

Special Days sounds like Tool / A Perfect Circle and Numbers sounds like Disturbed.......

I dunno really... I wouldn't label yourself that much, you're a hard rock band

I've sent you a friend request

Oh yeah, is that a drum machine or bass triggers?

Thanks for the feedback, I've accepted your friend request!

We decided to keep the 'drunktards', even tho we know it's a made up word, because it sounded exactly what we wanted. It's like a straight translation from portuguese.

About the drums (I'm the drummer), I record them on a digital drumkit to a midi track and then quantize and edit it, adding or removing notes to make it sound better in the song.

Hey there Arapuk, welcome to the forums!

"Special days" like drummer says, is a VERY good track!
That's an awesome word, "Drunktards" lol

Genre... I'd be tempted to say hard rock, but i'm not sure :/

Look forward to hearing the album when its released.

Drunktards is actually a portmanteau (making one word out of two) of DRUNKard and reTARD... Hence me thinking it's not a good idea.

Hehe, that was actually the meaning we wanted to give. Didn't know it existed.
Anyway, Arina (the character in that song) is really tired of the drunk people on the tavern. All nights acting like retards, and she's sick of it. So she spells out those curses!

But I appreciate your opinion, of course.

Yeah, I get the meaning of the song and the story behind it - I'm not saying it's a crap song, far from it (and by the way, the girl singing has a stunning voice).

Hmm yeah, i suppose you're right. I didn't really think about it at the time, it just amused me, I'd not heard it before either.

What does makes a refreshing change (for me anyway) is to hear someone sing live and still sound good.
That voice, hmm, reminds me of someone, but i can't think who

    Thanks you both.

I think she's got a pretty good future ahead, considering she's still 16 years old.
