Since you mentioned that, may I ask, if you know? Or anyone? ...

I have a favorite song that is written in Moldavian, and that language also seems to a tiny bit similar to Spanish..? I don't know ... I haven't studied it closely, because I already have enough to learn and confuse my simple mind .. just curious.

Well, that's because Moldovan /without "i" / is identical to Romanian. Just like Norwegian is similar to Swedish.

Thank you About Romanian/Moldavan, it's very good to know!

Without the 'i', sorry. I've seen several different spellings, wrong spellings ... even Maldova, Maldavian ... I'm sure that some errors are because of pronunciation, but it just makes it hard to remember.

Mmm, I've always thought that Norwegian and Swedish are very similar, at least by appearance, but I didn't want to assume incorrectly

On a side note, the Olympics: I see Roman/English transliterations of Scandinavian and Slavic and other names, but a lot of them look wrong?!? Especially Y, I, and J, substitutions ... maybe they just try to make it simple, phonetically, but it doesn't look correct.

Anyway, thank you for your help! =)
