    Merhaba,
Could someone please translate the lyrics to this song.

    NE AĞLARSIN BENİM ZÜLFÜ SİYAHIM
BU DA GELİR BU DA GEÇER AĞLAMA
    GÖKLERE ERİŞTİ FERYADIM AHIM
BU DA GELİR BU DA GEÇER AĞLAMA

    BİR GÜLÜN ÇEVRESİ DİKENDİR HARDIR
BÜLBÜL HAR ELİNDE AH İLE ZARDIR
NE DE OLSA KIŞIN SONU BAHARDIR
BU DA GELİR BU DA GEÇER AĞLAMA

DAİMİYEM HER CAN ERMEZ BU SIRRA
GERÇEK AŞIK OLAN ERER O NURA
    YUSUF SABIR İLE VARDI MISIRA
BU DA GELİR BU DA GEÇER AĞLAMA

why do you cry, my black ear-lock
this will also pass as it comes, don't cry
my cry and sigh reached to the sky
this will also pass as it comes, don't cry

around a rose are thorns and spines (*)
the nightingale screams and cries because of thorns
but, after all, the end of winter is spring
this will also pass as it comes, don't cry

i am daimi, not every soul can unlock this secret
    true lover reaches that light
    joseph arrived egypt through patience
this will also pass as it comes, don't cry

    ---
(*) turkish diken and persian har are synonymous

Hey everone. Accepting the original lyrics as above, I just made this translation:

Why wouldst thou cry, my ebon earlock
This shalt pass as it cometh, dost not cry
My squall and wail have risen up to the sky
This shalt pass as well, as it cometh, dost not cry

Around a rose art thorns and barbs
The philomel outcrieth and groan'th owing to the rose
    After all, spring follow'th winter
This shalt pass as well, as it cometh, dost not cry

I am Daimi, not every soul shalt attain this secret
They who art the true admirer attain such splendour
Of sufferance hath Joseph reached Egypt
This shalt pass as well, as it cometh, dost not cry

Daimi would be the name of the scop, also meaning "stable", "lasting" and somewhat disputibly "endless". Since I couldn't translate that into english I thought I'd indicate it here.

Plus, I made a new english version for the ones of you who'd like it that way:

Why would you cry, my ebon earlock
This shall pass as well, as it comes, do not cry
My squall and wail have risen up to the sky
This shall pass as well, as it comes, do not cry

Around a rose are thorns and barbs
The philomel outcries and groans owing to the rose
    After all, spring follows winter
This shall pass as well, as it comes, do not cry

I am Daimi, not every soul shall attain this secret
They who are the true admirer attain such splendor
Of steadiness has Joseph reached Egypt
This shall pass as well, as it comes, do not cry

(In this version, I leave the steadiness/patience as optional according to your desicion.)

PS: The term "âşık" in Turkish means not only "lover" but also represents a level of sufism, as the love of God. Having that taken into account I translated it after half an hour's research as "admirer" for it has the word "âşık" as its equivalent in the same dictionary where it also has the close meaning of resembling the word "follower".

Here's a lastly fixed and updated version of the old English adaptation:

Why wouldst thou cry, my ebon-lock
This too shalt pass as it cometh, dost not cry
To the empyrean have my wails and laments risen
This too shalt pass as it cometh, dost not cry

Around a rose are spines and thorns
The philomel outcry'th and groan'th owing to the rose
    After all, spring follow'th winter
This too shalt pass as it cometh, dost not cry

I am Daimi, not every soul shalt not attain this secret
Those who are the true admirers attain such splendour
Of sufferance hath Joseph reached Egypt
This too shalt pass as it cometh, dost not cry

And here's one for the modern English adaptation:

Why would you cry, my ebon-lock
This too shall pass as it comes, do not cry
To the empyrean have my wails and laments risen
This too shall pass as it comes, do not cry

Around a rose are spines and thorns
The philomel outcries and groans owing to the rose
    After all, spring follows winter
This too shall pass as it comes, do not cry

I am Daimi, not every soul shall attain this secret
Those who are the true admirers attain such splendor
By patience has Joseph reached Egypt
This too shall pass as it comes, do not cry

    ----

I believe this one to be the final edition, or at least I hope so :P

Why would you cry, my ebon-lock
This comes around, this goes around, do not cry
To the empyrean have your wails and laments risen
This comes around, this goes around, do not cry

Around a rose are spines and thorns
The philomel outcries and groans owing to the rose
After all, spring turns after winter
This comes around, this goes around, do not cry

I am Daimi, not every soul shall attain this secret
Those who are the true admirers attain such splendor
By patience has Joseph reached Egypt
