    Default Solved: Help with early 70s song

    Here is a link to the song, there is also a short 17 second 'fragment' of an additional song at the end of the mp3 that I'd like to identify.

    I'm trying to identify the following song I found on a cassette tape (with a date June 1973 written on it).

    It is pop-rock sung by a male artist and the best I can make out in the lyrics are:

    <inaudable audio proceeds...>

    my love is like a chevy six
    breathe a word and the throttle sticks

    <Guitar and hard to hear lyrics 'hey laddie'??>

    my love is like loretta young
    our love is bound to every song
    a song, a song, a song

    <more guitar>

    my love is like a saxophone
    keep my baby in the catholic zone (?)

    <more guitar and lyrics for a minute or so to the end of the song
    'hey laddie'??>

    This song is Hey Lawdy Lawdy by The Wackers released in 1973 on the album Shredder.
