    Default Is this song tune based on another song?

    I am wondering if the Los Umbrellos "no tengo dinero" in based on a popular Mexican folk tune if so what is the name? I know the band is obscure and they were a one, kinda, hit wonder so I added a link to the video so the tune can be heard.

    Sounds like a very similar tune to this:

    Never On Sunday

    That might not help you though.

    FAB Scott is right! The song is based on the song "Never on Sunday" that received the Oscar for best song in 1960. It was the theme song of a greek movie that had the same name and was directed by Jules Dassin.
