Shpat Kasapi - Vetes Nuk Ja Fali

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FCxc...eature=related

    Harrom qė mė ke takuar
forget that you have met me
    ndonjėherė nė jetė
at some point in your life
    harrom e mos mė thirr
for get me and don't call me
tė lutem mė ler tė qetė
    please just leave me calm

    Ishte kot qė tentuam
it was useless that we tried
    sa filluam e mbaruam
as soon as we began we ended
    kėngen
    the song
    vetem lotė mė
    dhurove ti

    you only gave me tears

    Nė udhekryq jam i ulur
    i'm sitting at a crossroads
    shumė shenja shoh nga
    i see many signs
tė shkoj nuk e di fatin ku
which way shall i go, i don't know where
    ta kėrkoj unė ndihem shumė
to find my fate, i feel really
    i mashtruar,i lodhur,i vetmuar
    betrayed, tired, alone
cili ėshtė mėkati im se di!
i don't know what my sin is

Vetes nuk ja fali qė isha me ty
it hadn't accepted itself, that i was with you
sa shumė netė pa gjumė, nesėr do tė jetė
many sleepless nights, tomorrow will be
    ma mirė
    better

    Default Two Adelina Ismajli songs

The first one is actually a very silly song, but I like it none the less. I noticed the lyrics (from teksteshqip.com) have some errors in them. The same word is spelled differently in different places (eg. karikja/garigja) wich makes it difficult to use a dictionary. The lines with 'shoqja jote e bukur' seem to be in error too. And at the beginning of the refrain there are a few words missing between 'jo jo' and 'me mu dredhina ska'. If someone would be so kind to listen very carefully to the song? Here's a YouTube link:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzQhxHvx7kc

Adelina Ismajli - Qind pėr qind zeshkanė

    edhe mbreme si gjithmon
    me tjetren te pash
    shpejt nga karikja u qova
    ne sy shpull ta dhash
    edhe mbreme si gjithmon
    me tjetren te pash
    shpejt nga karigja u qova
    nder sy shpull ta dhash

Refr.: jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
pa frym mund te la jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
pa frym mund te la mund te laaaa

    jo smu dhimse aspak
    shoqeria kur t shikoj
edhe shoqja jote e bukur syt kur i zdrurdolloj
    jo smu dhimse aspak
kur shoqnia t shikoj edhe shoqja jote e bukur syt kur i zdrurdulloj

Refr.: jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
    pa frym mund te la
    jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
pa frym mund te la mund te laaaaa

    auuuuuuuuuuuuuuu e jeeeeeeeee hi huoooooooooooo

    e ateher te diskoteka
    te kerri yt shpejtova
me shokt e mi pa kerra gjamat ti coptova
    e ateher te diskoteka
    te kerri yt shpejtova
me shokt e mi pa kerra gjamat ti coptove

Refr.: jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
    pa frym mund tee
    jojo me mu dredhina ska
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
pa frymm mund te la mun te laaaaa

The second one is much better as a song, the lyrics seem to be correct, but much too difficult for me:

    Adelina Ismajli - Amaneti

    Seletullah selemullah x2
    alejke aresul allah
    alejke a havel allah
    ilmini nallut ante mali x2

ma ka lan ma ka lan nana tybe amanete x2
tujme kėndu kėt fejen sonte tybe me vullnet x2

ma ka lan ma ka lan nana tybe amanete x2
me ju kėndu llapjonve sonte e me kallėn krejte x2

mė ka thėn vellau kur ka dal nė gurbet x2
me ma rudh pėr verizaj e me bė shehrete x2

mė ka thėn vellau kur ka dal nė gurbet x2
mos me harru as kilanin se e kam haserete x2

nanė moj nanė prizėreni rush i zi
nanė moj nanė gjakova si flori
nanė moj nanė tetovat janė pareli
o moj nanė kjo kumanova qikat si peri

nanė moj nanė drenica kuq e zi
    nanė moj nanė mitrovica bukuri
nanė moj nanė prishtin si nė *amerik*
o moj nanė prishtina lija sonte kah me ik

    Thank you

To RushiiTushii I don't know if anyone translated this for you, I just noticed it here it is:

jeta sot kerkon duhet me shume
today life is wanted, it is needed more
dita qe jeton duhet me shume
the day you live, is needed more
flas me veten sot duhet me shume
speaking to yourself, is needed more
    dashurine kerkoj duhet me shume
i search for love, i need it more (than i had)
rezet kam me vete duhet me shume
i have the rays with me, they are needed more
neser jame e lire duhet me shume
i need to be free tomorrow (from work etc.)
frika larg prej meje duhet me shume
fear needs to be far from me, this is needed
erdhi koha ime duhet me shume
my time has come, i need it now (more than i had)

    do qe jeten t'ma ndryshojn
they want to change my life
nje rruge me njerez sot kaloj
today i pass a road with people
    dhe me veten do jetoj
yet i will live my life with myself
    me veten do jetoj
    i will live with myself
flet e para sot me ty
the first one speaks with you today
per tu rimbushur me ata sy
to fill those eyes (of yours) again
    nate e erret me rethon
    the dark night surrounds me
    dhe yjet mi largon
and takes the stars away from me

these lyrics had some errors too. Usually these errors are not done purposely it's just due to the person's accent whoever wrote them so they pronounce things differently and write them accordingly depending on where they are from in either albania, kosova or macedonia, montenegro other places etc. they have different accents, so they write things differently.

for example: gurbet or kurbet (immigration) same word just different accent

Adelina Ismajli - Amaneti (The Will)

    Seletullah selemullah x2
    alejke aresul allah
    alejke a habib allah
    ilmini nallut ante mali x2

*This part is in Arabic, it's verses from the Kuran (Holy book of Islam)

ma ka lan ma ka lan nana tybe amanete x2
my mother has left me full of wills
tujme kėndu kėt fejen sonte tybe me vullnet x2
with singing this belief tonight all by willingness

ma ka lan ma ka lan nana tybe amanete x2
my mother has left me full with wills
me ju kėndu llapjonve sonte e me kallėn krejte x2
with singing to llapjon people tonight, and (lit. buring up the place) celebrating

mė ka thėn vellau kur ka dal nė gurbet x2
my brother had told me, when he had immigrated
me ma rudh pėr verizaj e me bė shehrete x2
look after Ferizaj (city in Kosova), and make me light some (so i won't have a heavy heart worrying about it)

mė ka thėn vellau kur ka dal nė gurbet x2
my brother had told me when he had left to foreign lands
mos me harru as kilanin se e kam haserete x2
i can't forget Gilan (city in Kosova) because it is a longing of mine

nanė moj nanė prizėreni rush i zi*
mother, oh mother, Prizren (city in Kosova) the red grapes
nanė moj nanė gjakova si flori*
mother oh mother, Gjakova (city in Kosova) like gold
nanė moj nanė tetovat janė pareli*
mother oh mother, people from Tetova (city in Macedonia) are wealthy
o moj nanė kjo kumanova qikat si peri*
mother oh mother, in this Kumanova ( city in Macedonia) the girls are like Paris

nanė moj nanė drenica kuq e zi*
mother oh mother, Drenica (city in Kosova) red and black (like the Albanian flag)
    nanė moj nanė mitrovica bukuri*
mother, oh mother, Mitrovica (city in Kosova) is a beauty
nanė moj nanė prishtin si nė *amerik*
mother oh mother, Prishtina (city in Kosova) is comparable to the United States
o moj nanė prishtina lija sonte kah me ik
mother oh mother, the girl from Prishtina will leave tonight

    * these are all just common Albanian compliments but some of them are weird (like rush i zi - as red grapes) so i thought I'd explain a them lol

this was kinda hard to translate I hope you understood it! Feel free to ask any questions

Adelina Ismajli - Qind pėr qind zeshkanė (100% brunette)

    edhe mbreme si gjithmon
    also yesterday as always
    me tjetren te pash
    i saw you with another
    shpejt nga karikja u qova
i got up quickly from my seat
    ne sy shpull ta dhash
i gave a slap among your eyes

jojo, (o pa pa*, ) me mu dredhina ska
no no, oh no, there are no twists and turns with me
    jam qind per qind zeshkane
    i am 100% brunette
pa frym mund te la jojo me mu dredhina ska
i can't accept it without a breath, no no, there are no games with me

    jo smu dhimse aspak
i didn't hurt for you at all
    shoqeria kur te shikoj
or your friends when i see you
edhe as bukuroshja jote syt kur i rrutulloji**
and neither your pretty girlfriend, when she rolls her eyes
    jo smu dhimse aspak
no i didn't hurt for you at all

*pa pa is just another form of "o po po" it's like oh my, or oh no

** - i couldn't really hear this last word, but it sounds like its zdrudhdulloj or rrutulloj or something which either means rolls eyes, wrinkles eyes or dodges :S haha sorry!

    e ateher te diskoteka
and that time at the club
    te kerri yt shpejtova
    i ran to your car
me shokt e mi pa kerra gjamat ti coptova
me and my friends without a ride, smashed your windows

back in the day she sounded just like her little sister Zanfina now haha

@Balkaneuro: thank you once again. It's exactly what I wanted: I like more or less literal translations when they are supplemented with some short explanations. I have the feeling that I learn something about the "logic" behind the language. One question is raised however: what are "llapjon" people? And how do you interpret the line "with singing this belief tonight all by willingness"?

The first song (it is a bit childish, but nice), I understand much better now. I knew most of the words, but that is clearly not enough. E.g. I didn't realise that the story was told in past tense. So I interpreted it as some kind of threat to the boy: "If I were to see you with someone else, in the evening to come, then I would slap you in the face..." etc. Which is all wrong of course. It makes much more sense now.

The second song I didn't understand at all. Now that I know it is about immigration, and longing, I like it even more than I did before. It seems much more serious than the video would make yoy believe.

    Translation requested:

Aferdita Elshani - Mallkoj Diten ( I curse the/that day)

Mos e mer ket rrug te gjat pa mbarim
don't choose this long never ending road
edi, se nje dit shpirti im do te kthehet siq u kthy n`fillim
i know, that one day, my sweetheart, will come back as he had in the beginning
edi, se nje dit shpirti im do te kthehet siq u kthy n`fillim
i know, that one day, my soul (lit.), will come back as it had in the beginning

Mos e mer ket rrug te gjat saher te thash
how many times had i said to you, "don't take this long road" (means leaving the country to immigrate)
edi, se kjo zemer qe ta dhash
i know, that this heart i gave to you
do te ndalet, kur sdo`t jemi bashk
will stop, when we are no longer together

    2x:
Mallkoj diten qe do te vi
i curse the day that will come
diten kur do`t jem shum larg nga ti
the day that i will be very far from you

Heret a po von kurbeti t`vret ngadal
sooner or later, the foreign land (home away from home) will kill you slowly
sa keq, qe skam kujt t`ja them ni fjal
how awful, that i have no one to say a word to
ti tregoj se po digjem e gjall
to tell them that i am burning alive
sa keq, qe skam kujt t`ja them ni fjal
how sad, that i have no one to talk to (grieve to)
ti tregoj se po digjem e gjall
to tell them i am burning alive
Heret a po von do ta kuptosh nje dit
one day, sooner or later, you will understand
sa kam vujtur qe t`kam prit
that i have suffered while waiting for you
sa jam tretur e sa jam merzit
that i have melted and how much i had been bored/sad

I'm not very sure what Llapjon is I figured it was some sort of small city, becuase of other songs i've seen with that word used, I figured it was referring to a group of people or maybe a characteristic but that's all i could come up with, i couldn't find it in a dictionary either :S

the line "tuj kendu kete fejen sonte tybe me vullnete" (lit. to sing this religion tonight from my own will)
    vullnet means willing
i think this means she is personally singing the verses out of her own willingness

    hope that helped a bit

Good song & good translations but doesnt "podujeven krejt kosoven" mean Podujeve and all of Kosove not if you want even count all of Kosova, cuz Podujeva is a place in kosove just like the other places mentioned like Drenica, Roguva, Podujeva, Prishtina, Gjakova and Ferizaj.

oh no problem i know more about that stuff cuz im from Kosove and i speak/read the language just occasionally need help with some translations

and for the Drenushe song i saw there wasnt a translation for
"hasmit tand mortaja i ra" im not exactly sure what mortaja means but it sounds like it could be a disease or like death so im guessin in a non literal way that line means "death/disease came upon your enemies" (because of their jealousy)

oh & "syni keq kurr mos me t`pa" that goes back to the whole thing of the evil eye, and if someone looks at you with envy or jealousy with bad eyes then its like their cursing you from jealousy.
Ti nuk gjen dot forcen tme shohesh ne sy ndihem i lenduar kur jemi te dy.
