A while back, I requested lyrics for "Alf 7ewar," and I just noticed (sorry, life got in the way and my ability to translate Arabic is almost nonexistent) that four lines of the second verse got lost in the cut and paste between the transliteration and the translation. Is "making someone the hubble-bubble" a common expression? I thought "sheesha" referred to a water pipe. What does this mean?

You made me smoke the water pipe.. yes it's correct, some people call it sheesha, argileh, nargilah, water pipe, hubbly bubbly, hookah.. it's got many names..

Okay, but do you think he's trying to imply that she drove him to sit around all
day smoking tobacco (wasting time) or hashish (getting wasted)? I'm just trying to understand the cultural point--where I live in the US, nobody uses a water pipe for smoking anything but marijuana, but I thought flavored (normal) tobacco was more common in the Middle East.

Sorry, I wasn't clear there. I meant, "In the particular US city where I live, where we don't have a large, cosmopolitan population or an Arab immigrant community, it is uncommon to find someone who smokes a traditional water pipe with flavored tobacco. We're limited to the occasional pothead smoking a bong while listening to the Grateful Dead." LOL. I'm in a "flyover state."
