There are 3 groups of verbs in Macedonian:

    1.Verbs that end in -a in 3rd person singular,present tense (гледа-to watch)
2.Verbs that end in -e in 3rd person singular, present tense (пее-to sing)
3.Verbs that end in -i in 3rd person singular, present tense (брои-to count).

The verb suffixes (added to the stem of the verb, i.e. the 3rd person singular, present tense) are the following:

    Present
    Singular:
    1p -ам
    2p
    3p /
    Plural:
    1p -ме
    2p -те
    3p -ат

    Imperfect:
    Singular:
    1p
    2p -ше
    3p -ше
    Plural:
    1p -вме
    2p -вте
    3p

    Aorist:
    Singular:
    1p
    2p /
    3p /
    Plural:
    1p -вме
    2p -вте
    3p -а/-ја*

*If the stem ends in 2 vowels: eg. Tie broeja

    Future:
The particle ќе + The conjugation of Present tense

Eg. (the verb "odi" - to go)
    Sing.
    Ќе одам
    Ќе одиш
    Ќе оди

    Plur.
    Ќе одиме
    Ќе одите
    Ќе одат

The verb "to be" is irregular:

    Јас (I) сум
    Ти (You) си
    Тој/Таа/Тоа (He/She/It) е
    Ние (We) сме
    Вие (You) сте
    Тие (They) се

    To be in future tense:

    sing.
    1. Јас ќе бидам
    2. Ти ќе бидеш
    3. Тој/таа/тоа ќе биде

    plur.
    1. Ние ќе бидеме
    2. Вие ќе бидете
    3. Тие ќе бидат

    To be in imperfect:

    sing:
    1.Јас бев
    2.Ти беше
    3.Тој/Таа/Тоа беше

    plur.
    1.Ние бевме
    2.Вие бевте
    3.Тие беа

Попишува- inventory, to enrol, to note down, to list, to make a census etc

Се надевам сега е појасно малку

Да, како што претходно кажав, „прави попис“ веќе звучи многу по логично отколку „запишува“ Само што јас како таков не сум го сретнала...

Guys, sorry I'm being a bit absent, it's just that I've been having some extra work lately, I cannot seem to find the time to even turn the computer on! But I'll definitely keep you updated, I shall post some new grammar/vocabulary very very soon. Meanwhile, you can ask me anything you want.

    Greetings,

    I found this online: http://www.seelrc.org:8080/grammar/m...?nLanguageID=3

It's kind of a book about Macedonian language, which I find rather detailed and useful too, considering that it is written in English.
On the left, there are its contents given, so you just click on whichever issue you are interested in and it appears in the centre.
It is also full of explanations about the exceptions of the common rules in Macedonian, which can be both good and not that good, depending on your willingness to memorise it all. But, again, you can always skip them. ;-)

I tried to read that book, downloaded the pdf file, very detailed and interesting. A bit above my head, I've forgotten a lot of the linguistics jargon in English but interesting and worth reading. Thanks for the link.

Веднаш симнуваше маска и кажеше „I scare you, Mewwin? I scare you? I sowwy." (Те уплашував, Mewwin? Те уплашував тебе? Жал ми е.) И пред да можам ишта да кажам, ме силно галеше мене да не бидам уплашена. Јооој, тоа ми е омиленот спомен.

Well done again pthalo I'm very glad you are giving great efforts in order to improve your Macedonian, and be sure you are on the right way
I know you like to be corrected so to know where you make some small mistakes I don't know the text you've been translating, but I will try to figure it out from your words while composing a sentence:-)

It wasn't really a translation...though I did write it out in Serbian first because my Serbian is better than my Macedonian and because I wanted to look up all the words I'd need in the dictionary before I started writing it in Macedonian so that I could write at a normal tempo. Those are true stories about a little boy named Noah. I was his nanny for a few months six years ago. He was the cutest kid in the world, and some of my happiest memories are from that time. So I thought it'd be good practice to try to write about that.

Thanks so much for the corrections, it helps me learn.

Бравооооо Одлично читаш, баш сега те ислушав. Одлично звучи, за толку кратко време што го учиш јазикот Патем, наликуваш по гласот и по зборувањето на една моја другарка од Англија која исто така го учи јазикот, само што ти го имаш побрзо научено
Не знаев дека текстот всушност се однесува на некој дел од твојот живот, но морам да признаам дека прекрасно си поминала и се надевам дека тие спомени секогаш ќе ги паметиш, зашто навистина се посебни

    Hey there

Yes, there is same letter in Macedonian, meaning it sounds the same, but of course looks different;-) It is this letter - "џ"

In this post I see you have tried to transcribe the text from Latin to Cyrillic and you did it very well overall I will just correct these tiny mistakes

трeбаш, проџеш, поздрављаш, чекај, што, љуби, знај, што

P.S. The first text is in Serbian, so you shall write it with the Serbian letters, I just showed you how it looks like if you change the letters into Macedonian as you wished and tried by yourself
And the second is OK in both versions, Latin and Cyrillic....

    Take care, xxx

I would be really happy to help you, but unfortunately I haven't heard of such wordAre you sure it is written this way? And also some times on net people (me as well use 's' meaning both for s(с) and sh(ш) but mainly when we are talking informally with friends and compatriots, because we know its meaning;-)
Please try to find the real one, or if someone has heard of this word maybe will give us a clue, hehe

P.S. Something similar to this is "svaten" (understood as an adjective), but more appropriate it is to use "razbran" (разбран) for the same thing.
