    Hello there

The word "prodolzuva" (продолжува) means : to proceed, to prolong, to continue

Well, at the beginning of this thread were mentioned some everyday phrases, so I really don't know what kind of words, phrases or sentences to add If you can be more specific about the words you are interested in, it will be my pleasure to help you out

Baknezi i od mene do site

P.S. I wrote on Macedonian, so that you can practice and I don't know if you understood everything, so if you want I can also post the translation of the text I just wrote

*pthalo Здраво и на тебе:-) И јас се надевам дека почесто ќе не дружиш наскоро:-) И тебе малку ќе те исправам ако не ти смета - надувам (надевам) и онда (тогаш) а и "го" не е потребно во случајот

    Поздрав! :-)

Hello Roshel Of course I will translate the text, I'm glad you've askedHere it is

    Hello Maxim!

Welcome to the Macedonian forum. I'm glad that you are interested, and I also see that you master with the Macedonian language very well, so I have to praise and encourage you to continue with the same beat
The mistakes were small, and I corrected them so that you can learn better.

"My name is Maxim and I come from Holland (The Netherlands). I want to learn the other (foreign) languages, and now I try to write on Macedonian. Probably I'm doing some mistakes, so can you correct me?"

*It's not necessary to write the personal pronoun "I" always, because in these cases it can be guessed by the verb for which person you are talking about, but it is not a mistake as well.

If you need something else, please let me know

(One tip: In Macedonian it is not necessary to write the personal pronoun (in most of the cases) because that can be known by the verb (they are different for each person unlike in English). If you want next time I will explain it with some examples)

Greetings for all of you, xxx

а можеш ли да ме кажеш што е разликата меѓу глаголи со
-ува- и глаголи без овоа.. (во англиски?)

ima eden dobar rečnik na internetot: http://www.idividi.com.mk/recnik.

Sega pišuvam na latinica zatoa što sum vo internet kafé i nemam makedonska azbuka.

The difference is that the the -uva verbs are kind of like the continuous tense in English. "kažeš" (you say) and "kažuvaš" (you are saying). In the slavic languages (at least the ones i know) each english verb has two different verbs, one for something that's done regularly, or that's being done right now, and one for something that is done and completed and that's it (like perfective in English). It's not always -uva though, sometimes the vowel is different or sometimes there's a prefix on the verb that makes the difference. like the verb "to cook" zgotvi and gotvi. (zgotvi is perfective, gotvi is the continuous one.) Zgotviv: I cooked. gotviv: I used to cook. Gotvam: I'm cooking (right now, or regularly). Zgotvam: I cook.

Максим многу ми е мило што го разбра тоа што ти го пишував Еве понатака ке продолжам на Англиски

Pthalo thank you for the wonderful explanation and the link Yes you are right about that, meaning these verbs are used sometimes to refer to continuous actions and they are actually called imperfective verbs But of course not all imperfective verbs can be formed with the suffix "uva". Here are some useful grammar lessons

In the Macedonian language there are two type of verbs: perfective and imperfective. The verbs belong either to one type or the other, with some exceptions. And they usually come in twosome. Of course for the same verb but of different kind there are different forms.
    For example: Vikne- vika, sedne-sedi.

Sometimes one can be formed from the other with morphological manipulation.

    Perfective from imperfective: gleda->pogleda, znae->doznae
    Imperfective from perfective: javi->javuva, prosti->prostuva

While the verbs who end on "ira" are both perfective and imperfective:
    Examples: informira, demonstrira, protestira etc.

*There are no particular rules which verb to be formed on which way, so you must learn them offhand and by some logic;-)

And some small corrections Dear ones, I hope you don't mind, I do this for you

    Maxim:
За среќа го разбрав тоа што го кажа.. За жал немам добар речник.. (така, ќе грешам..) А можеш ли да ми кажеш што е разликата помеѓу глаголите со -ува- и глаголите без тоа.. (на англиски?)

pthalo: Gotvev- I used to cook, zgotvam- to cook

    Голем поздрав!

благодарам, го разбирам.. мислам на холандскиот јазик ги немаме глаголи како овие, така е малку тешко за мене.

pthalo, ако доаѓаш од Унгарија (красна држава ) зошто го учиш македонскиот јазик? (különben beszélek jobban magyarul mint macedónul )

    поздрав

Би можала да ти прашам иста прашања

Учам македонски затоа што би сакала да знам македонски. :Р Учам македонски, затоа што учам српски веќе девет месеци и многу зборови се слични. Нема падежи на македонски, и нема слова ћ.

különben én is sokkal jobban beszélek magyarul mint macedónul, haha

Не зборувам холандски али, понекад на унгарски има нешто слично со глаголите: седи - leül (valamire) седнува - ül (valamin). За мене, полако е ако мислам на англиски (to sit, to be sitting).
